Abstract

The invention relates to a loading device for an overhead conveyor for overhead conveyance within the clothing industry, comprising running rails and supporting brackets which can be displaced thereon and which engage round the running rails from below, at least two supporting brackets forming constituent parts of a supporting carriage having a horizontal support bar, and in each case two mutually inclined guide rollers being arranged on the supporting brackets for supporting said brackets on the running rail, and the supporting carriages are automatically transported by providing a conventional transport device which, by means of coupling elements arranged on the supporting brackets, automatically takes the carriages along with it, in which arrangement the loading device has a driven screw (31) which is arranged laterally with respect to the supporting carriage (14) at an acute angle to the transporting direction (29), the free end of the screw (31) being situated in the region above the support bar (16) of the supporting carriage (14) and the screw (31) being arranged so that it can be displaced forwards and backwards. <IMAGE>
