Abstract

A closure cap (11) for a bottle (1) consists of a covering plate (12), surrounding the mouth (5) of the bottle, and a collar (13) which can be retained on the mouth-piece (2), a first seal (21), resting on the mouth-piece (2), and a second seal (31), which can be pressed onto the inside outer surface (4) of the mouth-piece, being mounted on the covering plate (12), and the closure cap having an elastically deformable zone (51), by means of which the covering plate (12) can be curved outwards in the manner of a membrane for venting the bottle (1) in dependence on the pressure prevailing in said bottle. The elastically deformable zone (51) is formed by grooves (52) which are machined into the covering plate (12) radially outside the first seal (21). Provided in the transition region between the collar (13) and the covering plate (12) is a third seal (41) which projects in the direction of the mouth-piece (2). This design of the closure cap (11) allows automatic venting in dependence on the internal pressure building up in the bottle (1) regardless of the outside temperature. Additionally, reliable sealing is guaranteed even in the case of different diameters of the mouth and/or damage. <IMAGE>
