Abstract

In a process in which pulverulent fine cement, plasticiser, swelling agent, quartz powder and water are mixed to give a cement suspension, it is desirable that, in crevices, and in particular also in crevices of very much smaller width, the cement suspension gives crevice-grouting of more compact consistency, improved cohesive force and frictional bonding. This is achieved by first adding water-retaining polyethylene oxide of a molecular weight of at least 40,000 to the water, 0.040 - 0.090 parts by weight of polyethylene oxide being added per 100 parts by weight of fine cement, by providing the fine cement and the quartz powder in a grain size of < 40 mu m and adding only 1.5 - 3.2 parts by weight of quartz powder per 100 parts by weight of fine cement, and by adding the swelling agent only to the mixture of the cement suspension. This gives crevice-grouting of improved consistency even in the case of relatively fine crevices.
