Abstract

A pharmaceutical composition containing diclofenac sodium for topical administration in the form of a gel is described and contains as gel former a cellulose derivative, especially hydroxypropylmethylcellulose. The gel is very suitable for use as medicament with antirheumatic and/or antiinflammatory activity.
