Abstract

There is provided a pivot hinge for windows, doors or the like, especially a corner bearing for turn-and-tilt wings, which allows the pressure force for the wing to be regulated when the latter bears in the closed position against the frame. The pivot hinge 1 has a hinge part 3 possessing a pivot sleeve 6 and a hinge part 2 possessing a bearing bolt or bearing journal 5, the bearing bolt or bearing journal 5 of the hinge part 2 engaging into a bearing hole 7 of the pivot sleeve 6 of the hinge part 3. In the hinge part 3 possessing the pivot sleeve 6 is arranged a threaded member 13 which is adjustable transversely relative to its bearing hole 7 and via which the axial position of the bearing bolt or bearing journal 5 on the hinge part 3 possessing the pivot sleeve 6 can be adjusted in the transverse direction. The threaded member 13 sits rotatably, but axially non-displaceably in the hinge part 3 and is in engagement with a mating thread in an intermediate piece 17. The intermediate piece 17 on the one hand is held by the hinge part 3 so as to be pivotable to a limited extent and on the other hand engages on the bearing bolt or bearing journal 5 of the hinge part 2, in order to guarantee a relatively large-area and therefore sufficiently stable mounting for the bearing bolt or bearing journal 5. <IMAGE>
