Abstract

A nonmechanical device for regulating the flow rate of solids travelling under the effect of a driving force between two fluidised media (10, 15) maintained separately in two adjacent enclosures (1, 2) communicating by a lower opening (12) arranged in their dividing wall (11), this opening being framed by baffle plates (16, 17) for the fluidising gases of each enclosure, which comprises on each side of the dividing wall (11) inside the compartment (20, 21) bounded by the corresponding baffle plate (16, 17) an aeration gas injector (18, 19), the injector (19) situated in the upstream compartment (21) delivering a constant flow rate of gas, the injector (18) situated in the upstream compartment (20) delivering a controllable gas flow rate.
