Bei Kameras mit Zentralverschlüssen ist die Einstellskala für die Belichtungszeiten gewöhnlich auf der Objektivfassung oder in deren unmittelbarer Nähe vorgesehen, während sie bei Kameras mit Schlitzverschluß meist auf der Stirnseite oder der oberen Schmalseite der Kamera angeordnet ist. Zur Einstellung der Belichtungszeiten muß die Kamera vom Auge abgesetzt und gewendet werden. Die Erfindung bezweckt, die Handlichgkeit und Aufnahmebereitschaft der Kamera dadurch zu erhöhen, daß im Daumengriffbereich -- vorzugsweise an der Rückseite -- ein Längs- oder Kreisschieber für die Belichtungszeit angeordnet ist, dessen Einstellung von der Rückseite aus ablesbar ist. Das Einstellorgan besteht zweckmäßigerweise aus einem mit Zahnstange, Hebelgestänge oder dergl. versehenen Längsschieber, auf dem auch die Einstellskala angebracht ist. Es ist auch denkbar, die Einstellskala getrennt vom Einstellorgan anzuordnen und diese im Blickfeld des Sucherokulars sichtbar zu machen.
