DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing electrical wound capacitors, in particular with a dielectric made from a specially prepared paper foil.
In previous wound capacitors of this type, the winding is dried with an insulating agent impregnated as Ziusatzdielektrikuim and in a tube made of glass, hard paper or another Plastic inserted, which is sealed at the front with a potting compound. These well-known However, capacitors are characterized by a poor loss factor, by relatively low insulation resistance and by a low dielectric strength. Furthermore, the frontal The sealing compound often leaks after just a few hours of operation, in particular it forms harmful air channels along the connecting wires.
Der nach dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren hergestellte Wickelkondensator vermeidet diese Nachteile dadurch, daß als Dielektrikum dienende Isolierbänder, beispielsweise aus Papier, unmittelbar vor der Weiterverarbeitung zum Kondensatorwickel durch eine Pol'yäthylenlösung geführt und mit einer unmittelbar nach Verlassen der Lösung in ^kristalliner Phase erstarrenden ' Polyäthylenschicht, überzogen werden, und daß der unter Verwendung dieser Bänder hergestellte' WickelThe wound capacitor produced by the method according to the invention avoids this Disadvantages due to the fact that insulating tapes, for example made of paper, serve as a dielectric directly before further processing to the capacitor winding passed through a polyethylene solution and with a layer of polyethylene which solidifies in a crystalline phase immediately after leaving the solution, are coated, and that the 'wrap produced using these tapes

anschließend einer Wärmebehandlung mit oder ohne Vakuumeinwirkung unterworfen wird.is then subjected to a heat treatment with or without the action of a vacuum.
Furthermore, according to the invention, at least two are used to produce the soaking bath Components of polyethylene with different molecular weights in a mixture of liquids Dissolved hydrocarbons .. Mixtures of toluene, Xylene, decalin, tetralin, octane, nonane and decane.
The paper film that is used before the polyethylene treatment can still be dried by known methods for the purpose of further improving the loss factor can, is then led into the polyethylene bath heated to about 100 ° C. Immediately after leaving the solvent evaporates from the solution, while the polyethylene becomes a dense, on the paper tape extremely firmly adhering coating of fine, interconnected, partially crystalline Particles solidify at a certain temperature. The viscosity of the solution and hence the layer thickness can be changed by changing the mixing ratio of the two polyethylene components and regulate the solvent. Excess material can be removed from the paper tape can be removed immediately after leaving the solution using a simple wiper device. After the winding has been completed, it is subjected to a heat treatment, if necessary with simultaneous treatment Vacuum, subjected. Here ■ the low molecular weight polyethylene goes into one The thin liquid phase penetrates into the pores of the paper tape and completely soaks the paper and fills practically any remaining air in the coil, see above. that after the heat treatment of an almost homogeneous dielectric between the capacitor layers can be spoken.
To avoid any defects in the polyethylene coating it has proven to be advantageous to carry out the impregnation process before further processing to repeat to wrap. The specific capacity can be determined according to the invention Process manufactured capacitor without worsening the loss factor, nor thereby increase that the solution just described further inorganic fillers of high dielectric constant be added in finely divided form. The titanium compounds of the alkaline earth metals are primarily used as such fillers into consideration.
In a further embodiment of the method according to the invention, as described above, in an As is known, the capacitor assignments, for example aluminum foils, are first presented their processing with a sufficiently thin, but still sufficiently thick layer below one another coherent polyethylene crystals coated and using a spacer additional insulating film, for example made of paper treated with polyethylene or made of Polyethylene, rolled up into a roll and, this a subsequent heat treatment with or be subjected without simultaneous vacuum effect. This procedure is particularly important in the Case of the polyethylene film as an additional film for the production of wound capacitors with extremely With a small loss factor, it is suitable, for example, as a replacement for mica capacitors, since the winding follows the heat treatment through an absolutely homogeneous dielectric made of polyethylene between the layers is marked. Of course, the specific capacitance of this capacitor can also be determined by adding inorganic fillers of high dielectric constant, which at the same time exercise a spacing function, increase. In the case of capacitors with a low dielectric strength, the additional insulating film to come to an end entirely. It is then sufficient to have at least one of the capacitor assignments to treat with the polyethylene solution and the winding of the heat treatment according to the invention to undergo.
Da der neue KondenIt should be mentioned that wound capacitors with a dielectric made of polyethylene have already become known are. However, like the other known plastic film capacitors, these capacitors are manufactured using finished insulating tapes. The dielectric of a Such a capacitor is, however, also in later operation, especially at slightly elevated temperatures, subject to constant "flowing", which leads to inadmissibly large temperature dependencies and undesirable changes in the operating parameters. Above all, try the stresses that arise during the production of the foils and during the winding process easily compensate for elevated temperatures. Apart from the various process engineering is the capacitor according to the invention due to its crystalline structure of the dielectric and its tension-free production is characterized by the great constancy of its operating data. The As already mentioned above, covering metallic strips with a polyethylene film is known. It has already been noted that metal foils prepared in this way are used for production of wound capacitors are suitable. If you now wrap, for example, two polyethylene-covered Metal bands to a capacitor winding, you will have to find that no there are still considerable air pockets within the roll. So it will, especially for high-quality capacitors, the impregnation of the winding with an additional dielectric is necessary being. In addition, capacitors of this type are only characterized by a low dielectric strength. As can already be seen from the above representations, the present invention works first from the well-known wound capacitor impregnated with a liquid additional dielectric which has proven itself in practical operation for a long time. In the manufactured according to the invention Capacitor on the other hand comes the additional! Impregnation now discontinued; is there the roll is still free of foreign and especially air inclusions. Since the new condens
