DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
The invention relates to a measuring device used to carry out loss measurements on electrical steel sheets, which is used in the Epstein method.
:So far, there has been a loss of electrical steel sheets according to the Epstein method carried out that the number of turns of the measuring coils of the measuring device was fixed. This required that you can arrange a series resistor between this and the measuring device to adapt to the recording apparatus that reduced the current to the nominal current of the connected measuring instrument. this in turn required a certain power consumption in the series resistor of the power meter took place which, together with the actual power loss to be measured, was the decisive factor in the Specific power meter. This proportion of loss was proportionate, large and could determine the measured value even exceed the power loss to be determined. Even if the mentioned power loss in the voltage path of the power meter has been subtracted from the displayed power value of the power meter, In order to obtain the iron loss value, the power loss has a significant influence on the measurement accuracy. With this method, the accuracy of the measurement of the loss on the metal sheets was determined by the The disproportion between internal consumption of the instrument and the actual measured value is severely impaired. :

Erfindungsgemäß wird vorgeschlagen, einerseits als Leistungsmesser einen solchen zu verwenden, dessen Spannungspfad niedrige Nennspannung und kleinstmöglichen Eigenverbrauch aufweist, und andererseits die Windungszahl der Sekundärwicklung des Epstein-Apparates so zu wählen, daß die Ausgangsspannung des unter vorgeschriebener Induktion im Eisenblech arbeitenden Epstein-Apparates nur wenig unter der Nennspannung des SpannungspfadesAccording to the invention it is proposed, on the one hand, to use such a power meter as a power meter, whose voltage path has a low nominal voltage and the lowest possible internal consumption, and on the other hand to choose the number of turns of the secondary winding of the Epstein apparatus so that the output voltage of the Epstein apparatus working under prescribed induction in sheet iron little below the nominal voltage of the voltage path
ίο des Leistungsmessers liegt.ίο of the power meter is.
The cross section of the secondary winding is dimensioned so that the ohmic resistance of the same is negligibly small compared to the resistance of the power meter voltage path.
So while the consumption in the secondary winding of the recording apparatus as well as with remains negligibly small with the previous devices, with the new arrangement the Internal consumption of the voltage path of the power meter is relatively small compared to the determining measured value. It is also useful to determine the number of turns of the primary winding of the receiving apparatus such to the network conditions of the feeding network on the one hand and the measuring range of the Adjust the current path from the power meter on the other hand, that the arrangement of series resistors to Destruction of energy becomes unnecessary, so that by such series resistors or auxiliary transformers significantly influenced changes in the voltage curve that are unfavorable for the measurement process be restricted to a minimum. With such a selection of the primary and secondary The same number of turns need not be the same.
When measuring losses according to Epstein on electrical steel sheets, the induction value is determined by means of the voltage set. According to your Epstein method, the current of the primary winding and the voltage of the secondary winding merged in the power meter and its product below Consideration of the phase angle and the turns ratio of the primary to the secondary winding educated. As a result, in addition to the actual sheet metal losses, the losses are also shown in the power display of the voltage circuit of the power meter as well as the losses of the connected for the induction determination Chip knife included.
The actual measured value is therefore the difference between the display value and the determined sum loss determined by the voltage circuit of the power meter and voltmeter. The better the Sheet metal types become, the smaller their losses, the greater it becomes in the ratio of the in The proportion of loss of the measuring instruments contained in the display. The end result should be if the previous measurement methods are becoming more and more imprecise, since the remaining on the unknown sheet in the The measured value relating to the recording device corresponds to less than 50% of the actual display value, and in the case of further development of electrical steel sheets with low watt losses, the ratio of instrument losses to sheet metal losses always greater, d. H. becomes less favorable for the absolute measured value.
Der Eigenwiderstand des Spannungsmessers beträgt hierbei 800 Ohm, so daß sein EigenverbrauchThe number of turns of the secondary winding of the Epstein apparatus is given in the previous design with W = 600 turns. With an induction of 10,000 Gauss and an iron cross-section corresponding to the sample mass and weight, this number of turns corresponds to a voltage of about 86 volts. If a voltmeter with a full scale of 100 volts and a class accuracy of 0.5 ° / 0 is used, the measured value is determined with an accuracy of ± 0.58 ° / 0 . The intrinsic resistance of the voltmeter is here 800 ohms, so that its own consumption

In order to get the required accuracy again with the measuring method, you have two To carry out measures:
After the induction value on the voltmeter If the assigned voltage value is set and read, the voltmeter is switched off and a variable series resistor of the power meter as reduced as it is the measuring range of this instrument is equivalent to. This means that the voltmeter's own consumption is derived from the power measurement eliminated and at the same time this load on the secondary winding kept roughly the same as the value when adjusting the tension.
The number of turns of the secondary winding is kept as small as possible, i. i.e., such a tension is selected as it is required for the measurement accuracy to be achieved by the power meter.
At 10,000 Gauss, assuming the same conditions as in the previous example, the result is a voltage of around 28.6 volts. If a voltmeter with 50 volts full deflection and a class accuracy of 0.5 ° / 0 is used, the measured value is determined with an accuracy of ± 0.87 0 Z 0 , the intrinsic resistance of the voltmeter is 400 ohms, so that its own consumption

This means that 88% of the pointer deflection is assigned to the actual measured value.
It should be noted that by this method the measuring range of the power meter in its Sensitivity can be selected correspondingly higher, d. H. if he previously had a rash of 22.7 watts had to be selected, now for a deflection for 11.82 watts or for the second Example of 17.72 or 6.82 watts can be selected, which further increases the measurement accuracy will.
Just as the number of secondary turns is "adapted" in the manner described above, so must the Primary number of turns are adapted, namely as follows; that the measuring current corresponds to the maximum current of the selected Corresponds to the measuring range of the power meter.
Since the loss measurements on sheet iron are always associated with a large phase shift between current and voltage, the value of the method described above is essential in that it only enables the use of power meters with full deflection at cos φ ikle less than 1 to be fully effective. This applies in particular to those cases in which the measurement is to be made with an induction value greater than 10,000 Gauss, for example 15,000 Gauss. Here, the cos φ falls to values between 0.2 and 0.1, so that in connection with the sharply increasing primary magnetizing current, the specified method still allows measurements with accuracies in the order of magnitude of ± 0.8% when using instruments of the class accuracy of 0.5% for voltage and power meters.
In general, the accuracy of the measurement of the specified measuring method can be determined by the represent the following formula, the derivation of which would lead too far here:

Aus der Gegenüberstellung der Ergebnisse der allgemeinen Ableitung erkennt man,The comparison of the results of the general derivation shows that
daß der mögliche Fehler vergleichsweise im Beispiel 1 gegenüber 3 auf etwa 60 °/0 herabgesetzt wird oder ein Genauigkeitsgewinn von 0,5% erzielt wird, that the possible error in example 1 is reduced to about 60 ° / 0 compared to example 3 or an accuracy gain of 0.5% is achieved,
Hierdurch ist es möglich, ohne auf Spezialinstruniente zurückzugreifen, mit den heute für andere Zwecke geschaffenen Instrumenten das international anerkannte Epsteinverfahren auch für die besten und damit verlustärmsten Blechsorten zu benutzen.that the possible error is reduced in comparison to example 2 compared to 4 a to about 60 ° / 0 or a gain in accuracy of 0.91 ° / 0 is achieved, that the possible error is reduced to about 33% in comparison to example 2 compared to 4 b, or an accuracy gain of 1.53% is achieved. The number of turns selected for both the primary and the secondary winding has a significant influence on the measurement result and, as previously stated, only has to be based on the instrument layout. This makes it possible, without having to resort to special instruments, to use the internationally recognized Epstein method for the best and therefore lowest-loss types of sheet metal with the instruments created today for other purposes.
A particular advantage of the method described for the formation of measuring devices for loss measurement on electrical steel is that no special instruments need to be manufactured, but that with the instruments available on the market an optimum of measurement accuracy in the one described Procedure can be achieved. It is particularly important that even with progressive improvement the sheet quality and a corresponding reduction in the loss values, the method described gives the opportunity not only to maintain the measurement accuracy, but even to increase it. this applies also for loss measurements performed with inductions higher than 15,000 Gauss.

The primary winding 3 is fed from the network 1, 2, whose current continues through the power meter 4. The secondary winding 5 feeds over the switching contact 6 on the one hand the voltmeter 7, on the other hand via a series resistor 8 with a large Ohm value and the power meter via a series resistor 9 which determines the measuring range.
The voltage is set on the voltmeter according to the induction, then it is through Pressing the switch contact 6 switched in such a way that the voltmeter is switched off and the power meter displays the measured value via the corresponding series resistor.
