DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
For the protection of electrical power lines against short circuits caused by arcing one has long used shutdown arrangements that quickly turn off the phases and then they turn it back on quickly. In order to maintain stability in the high-voltage network, one has arrangements continue to be used that only briefly change the faulty in single-phase faults Switch off phase, while the fault-free phases remain switched on and thereby to maintain of synchronism in the network. A difficulty with this type of reclosing is, however, that the deionization of the fault arc on the defective Phase is made more difficult by the current, which is due to the magnetic and inductive coupling of the phases is transferred from the correct phases to the defective phase. Exceeds the line length at a given operating voltage is a certain value, the arc fault maintained on the faulty phase even if it is briefly earthed.
Gemäß der Erfindung geschieht dies mit Hilfe von Organen, die die Schalter in den Leitungsenden so steuern, daß nach der Abschaltung aller Phasen der Leitung zunächst die fehlerfreienThe invention has the task of ensuring * that the arc extinguishes at a fault and does not re-ignite without significantly increasing the risk of the network falling out of the way will. According to the invention, this is done with the help of organs that the switches in the line ends control in such a way that after all phases of the line have been switched off, first the fault-free

Phases are quickly switched back on, while the faulty (s) after a recovery their dielectric strength is (are) switched on again. the fault-free phases are switched on again at a point in time at which the fault arc on the faulty phase has gone out, but on which the deionization of the fault location is still has not progressed so far that the faulty conductor is switched on to the full Phase voltage can be connected.
Die Schaltstellen 2:a, 2:b, 2\c bzw. Figs. Ι and 2 show schematically an arrangement according to the invention. In this, ι : a, i: b, ι : c denote the phases of a three-phase line which transmits electrical energy between the power supply units N 1 and N 2. The line ι is connected to the power supply unit N 1 via the power switch 2 and to the power supply unit TV 2 via the power switch 5. The switching points 2 : a, 2: b, 2 \ c or 5 : a, 5 m .b, 5: c can be operated separately for each phase with the help of control elements 3 and 6. It is assumed that the circuit breakers are provided with disconnectors 4 and 7, respectively. With 8 and 9 grounding devices are referred to, which can be arranged to briefly connect the faulty phase to earth in a known manner.
If an error occurs on phase 1: o at time t 0, switching points 2 and / or 5 are opened in all three phases at time ti with the help of protective devices known per se, thus switching line ι from the connected networks. After a time that is sufficient to extinguish the arc on the fault-free phase, switching points 2 : b and / or 5: & as well as 2 \ c and / or 5 : c are switched on again in the fault-free phases at time t 2 . At this point in time these fault-free phases begin capacitive and inductive voltages in the earlier fault-free. 40 adhere phase to induce. However, these voltages only make up part of the full phase voltage, and the risk of the fault arc re-igniting is thereby substantially reduced or eliminated entirely. Accordingly, power can be transmitted via the fault-free phases that are now switched on, so that synchronism is maintained. After the activation of phases 1 : b and 1 : c , the dielectric strength of the previously defective phase 1 : a continues to increase, and it can be assumed that it has reached its full value after a certain time. At the time i 8 , the switching point 2 : a and / or ya is switched on again, and this phase is also connected to full voltage.
The above-described disconnection of all phases with the aid of the power switching points 2: », 2: b, 2 \ c and / or 5: 0, 5: b, 5: c is carried out simultaneously immediately after the occurrence of the error. However, these switching points can also be switched off in two stages, with the faulty one being switched off first. The two remaining phases then feed through capacitive and inductive; tive coupling the point of failure, and if the lines are long and large: power is transmitted, the arc remains burning at the point of failure. However, since this current is small, the arc is fed with a relatively low current, which later facilitates the deionization of the fault location. When the two fault-free phases are then switched off, the arc is extinguished. As described above, the fault-free phases are now quickly switched on again, while the switching points, 2 : a and / or ζ: α of the previously faulty phase. switched on again a little later. This measure gives ample time to deionize the fault location, while at the same time the synchronizing force between the power supply units is quickly restored.
As has also been proposed in connection with such single-phase short-circuit continuation, in which the switching points of the fault-free phases remain switched on during the entire reclosing attempt, the faulty phase 1 : a can be identified after using switching points 2 : a and / or 5 : a has been switched off, briefly earth it using the earthing device 8 : a and / or 9 : a.
Although the invention "is primarily intended for the elimination of single-phase arc faults it can also be used on more than one phase in the event of errors. Will be here too thereby the error-free phase or the error-free Phases before the faulty reconnected.
