Device for volume control in a reflex stage It is known
in a reflex stage that amplifies a high and low frequency voltage at the same time,
to regulate the volume on the low-frequency side. The potentiometer required for this
lies in the return line between the demodulator and the input of the reflex stage.
With this circuit there is the problem that the volume does not affect
Can be reduced to zero, which is due to the fact that the reflex tube
applied high frequency voltage in this tube due to the curved tube characteristic
experiences a partial rectification. The resulting low frequency voltage
thus bypasses the actual demodulator and the volume control. It is known
(German Patent 833 5I1) to avoid this disadvantage by instead of
of the base point of the potentiometer a tap is grounded and to the base point
of the potentiometer is so high a negative bias that in the lower
Part of the control range of the potentiometer on the reflex tube is the gain
reducing negative bias is effective. For this circuit, however, is a
Potentiometer with tap required.
For double-acting volume control, a circuit is one
Straight-ahead receiver known without reflex circuit, in which one part of a potentiometer
is connected in the feedback path as a series resistor, while the
other
Part lies as a damping shunt resistor on the input oscillation circuit. the
Use of this circuit to solve the problem on which the invention is based
is not possible because then one part of the potentiometer acts as a series resistor
should lie in the low frequency part and in the position of the grinder for the smallest
Attenuation of the input circuit the low frequency by the grounded wiper
would be shorted. But even if you use the potentiometer except as a dampening
Shunt resistance _ in the high-frequency section as an adjustable voltage divider in the low-frequency section
would switch, such a circuit would be unusable because when setting
the input circuit of the reflex stage is almost short-circuited at low volume
and thus practically no longer has any selectivity.
The invention proposes another circuit in which a tap
is not necessary on the potentiometer and does not significantly affect the selectivity
is. According to the invention, the wiper arm of the potentiometer is dimensioned in this way
Resistance connected to the grid of the reflex tube that in the position of the grinding arm
to the volume zero the resistance the input oscillation circuit of the reflex tube
so much attenuated and thus the high frequency voltage is so much reduced that
unwanted rectification in the reflex tube is avoided.
In reflex circuits it is known to be between the wiper arm of the potentiometer
and to switch the input of the reflex stage for decoupling an ohmic resistor.
However, this has such a large resistance that there is practically no attenuation
of the input oscillation circuit of the reflex stage occurs.
B. i MD geführt.
The figure shows an embodiment of the invention. The intermediate frequency voltage of a heterodyne receiver is fed to the grating of the reflex tube Rö via the band filter B1. The amplified intermediate frequency voltage is fed to the receiving rectifier D via the band filter B2. From the load resistor RD of this rectifier, the low frequency, 1% F via the filter element R1, Cl to the potentiometer P of z. B. i MD led. The wiper arm of this potentiometer is connected to the grid of the reflex tube Rö via the resistor R. The low-frequency voltage amplified in this tube is taken from the choke Dr and fed to the next stage. In the left position of the grinding arm, the resistor R is parallel to the secondary oscillation circuit of the band filter B1, so that this oscillation circuit through the resistor R of z. B. io to 50 kS2 is damped. This attenuation is such that the intermediate frequency amplitudes are sufficiently small and therefore cannot be demodulated in the tube Rö by means of grid rectification. In the right position of the sliding arm, the resistor R has no damping effect because it is in series with the much larger resistance of the potentiometer P. The capacitance of the capacitor Cl can be dimensioned so small (z. B. 50 pF) that its capacitive resistance for the intermediate frequency is large compared to the resistance R, so that the series connection of the resistor. R and the capacitor Cl in the right position of the sliding arm does not have a damping effect.
