Description
Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung zur Ultraschallbehandlung mit einem elektromagnetischen Wandler und einem schallübertragenden flüssigkeitsgefüllten Behälter mit nachgiebiger Wandung, die sich beim Aufsetzen auf das Behandlungsobjekt nach dessen Oberfläche verformt, insbesondere für die Behandlung des menschlichen Körpers. Bei den bekannten Vorrichtungen dieser Art ist der gesamte Schallerzeuger zur Ankopplung vollkommen von Flüssigkeit umgeben. Der Erfindung liegt der Gedanke zugrunde, daß zwar bei piezoelektrischen Schallerzeugern die vollständige Umhüllung des Schallerzeugers durch ein Ölbad zum Zwecke der gleichzeitigen Isolation vorteilhaft ist, daß sich hingegen bei magnetostriktiven Schallerzeugern wegen des Fortfalls der Isolationsnotwendigkeit eine wesentlich einfachere und gedrungenere Bauweise dadurch erzielen läßt, daß der flüssigkeitsgefüllte Behälter unmittelbar an dem aus magnetostriktivem Werkstoff bestehenden Schwingkörper des elektromechanischen Wandlers befestigt ist.
