Um besonders die als Griffe ausgebildeten Sargbeschläge unlösbar mit den Sargteilen zu verbinden und um zu verhindern, daß die Splinte beim Tragen des Sarges sich aus dem Holz herausziehen, ist bereits vorgeschlagen worden, die Enden der Splinte nochmals umzubiegen und die umgebogenen Enden krampenartig in die Holzteile einzuschlagen.
