soll.Switching arrangement for generating the second differential quotient of a
electrical signal, especially for television signal equalizers From different
For reasons of television broadcasting, the resolution (image sharpness) is not always
achieved, which would be possible according to the dismantling standard. Except for distortion
in the electrical transmission system this is often due to the finite cross-section
the scanning probe (electron beam) in the scanning device.
The degree of modulation of the image signal increases as the structure becomes increasingly fine
in the picture, the picture appears soft, sharp edges are smoothed. It is known,
that these deficiencies are compensated for by correcting the electrical signal
can, so far. the signal-to-noise ratio in the signal allows it. The present invention
refers to the recently known method of signal correction
by adding or subtracting the differential quotient of the signal to the signal
itself, a method which will be called "differentiation equalization" in the following
target.
With such an equalization - for theoretical reasons it is easy to understand
- especially the
Subtract the second derivative from the image signal
of importance as this is in good approximation of an increasing gain of the higher
Corresponds to frequencies of the image signal with increasing frequency without phase errors.
A simple television signal equalizer thus consists of a device that the
second differential quotient of the signal is generated, together with a mixer,
in which this Korrektuxsignal is added to the image signal to be corrected.
It is very important that when generating the correction signal and when
the mix, the signals are not delayed by disruptive transit times.
geringen Aufwand, insbesondere an Elektronenröhren, arbeiten.
In practice, arrangements are interesting that are as close to you as possible
work with little effort, especially on electron tubes. Arrangements with use
are only one electron tube for generating the second differential puotient
known according to the current state of the art in the form that the first differential quotient
by means of a differentiating switching element (e.g. RC element) before the supply of the
Signal to control the electrode is generated and only the second differential quotient
is generated with the help of the tube itself. However, such arrangements are fundamental
Disadvantage. You work e.g. B. only flawless if the time constant of the
small differentiating element connected in front of the input electrode of the tube
versus the reciprocal of the frequency of the signal. Hence the resistance must
be small in the upstream link (also because of the natural tube capacities).
On the other hand, a small resistance has the consequence that the signal source is relatively
is loaded with low resistance and the load with regard to the existing capacities
becomes strongly frequency dependent.
stabilisierender. Wirkung einer Gegenkopplung. The present invention relates to a simple circuit principle
to generate the second differential puotient with only one electron tube,
such that the signal to be differentiated directly to the control electrode of the electron tube
is supplied and the first differential puotient by influencing the current flow
is generated in the tube itself. At an output electrode of the tube is then
triggered in a known manner a signal that corresponds to the differential quotient
of the current and thus proportional to the second differential puotient of the control voltage
is. Such an arrangement has, in addition to the advantage of simplicity, the significant one
The advantage that you get a largely high input resistance that the
The signal generator or the signal source is practically not loaded and completely by this
is decoupled. Effects between the signal source and the differential circuit remain
avoided. Furthermore, there is such an electronic coupling between the first
and second differentiation largely free of runtime disruptions. If you have the
proposed switching measure continues so that the generation; of the first
Differential quotients due to a frequency-dependent negative feedback in the cathode circuit
or in the screen grid circle, then you also have all the advantages of
stabilizing. Effect of a negative feedback.
Heft 5, i942).According to Fig. I, the proposed measure can be carried out as follows:
that with a potential control at an electrode of the electron tube by the
signal to be differentiated a current flow is triggered in the tube, which corresponds to the differential quotient
of the control signal corresponds, and that continues in the anode circuit by switching on
a suitable switching element or network (e.g. inductance)
Voltage signal is triggered, which corresponds to the differential quotient of the electron current
and thus proportional to the second differential quotient of the original control signal
is. Fig. I shows a tried and tested arrangement according to the invention as
Example with an ordinary pentode. The first differentiation occurs in
the control process of the anode current through the frequency-dependent negative feedback in the
Cathode circle. The time constant RKCK and the absolute size of the cathode resistance
RK are to be selected accordingly, so that the differentiation over the desired frequency range
works flawlessly. Such a differentiating circuit in the cathode circuit by itself
alone is well known today and is z. B. to compensate for integration
Afterglow effects used in point light scanners with cathode ray tubes
(see, for example, K. Brückersteinkuh1: »Light beam scanner with a Braunschweig tube for
carrier-frequency and low-frequency sampling «, in-house communications from the Fernseh G.m.b.H.,

erfolgt. If dimensioned correctly, the anode current contains the
desired frequency range essentially only components that correspond to the differential quotient
of the signal are proportional. These components are now included in the anode circuit
With the help of an inductance or a transformer, a voltage signal is derived,
that of the differential quotient of the current and thus the second differential quotient
is proportional to the control voltage. The screen grid prevents repercussions on
the control circuit, so that the double differentiation without mutual interference
he follows.
The implementation of the principle proposed according to the invention can
of course also be done in other ways, e.g. B. by generating the current differential
by controlling electrodes other than the cathode, e.g. B. also from a secondary emitter
Auxiliary anode or the like, but Fig. I is a particularly simple one for practice
a suitable solution.
Fig. 2 shows how with the help of the circuit according to Fig. I a simple
Differentiation equalizer for television signals can be built. From the input voltage
an adjustable fraction is placed on the control grid of the tube i, on their
Anode the second differential quotient of the signal with negative polarity is created.
In a following mixing device, e.g. B. by two
on the anode side
Amplifier tubes connected in parallel then become the second derivative of the signal
added. Such an arrangement has proven itself very well in practice.
Röhre in Doppeldifferenzierschaltung.
selbst statt.
Fig. 3 shows another using the proposed principle
