Description
Electric time switch, in particular electric staircase timer Time switches, especially those that are used as stairwell machines, are known in various designs. One of the most common forms is based ensure that the switch-on movement is carried out by the moving core of an electromagnet takes place while the switch-off by a current-heated strip of thermal bimetal is controlled.
The invention relates to an electrical time switch, in particular Staircase automats, with a switch-on movement caused by a pull magnet, mechanical Position locking of the armature in the switch-on position and by a thermal Time element during the set switching duration, gradually controlled shutdown movement, in which the switch-off of the pull magnet after the end of the switch-on movement and the Activation of the thermal time element to control the shutdown movement a toggle switch takes place.
The known constructions of this type contain a variety of Levers and springs, which are necessary for the timely switching on and off of the electromagnetic current, the bimetal heating current and the lamp current are used. This makes them expensive in production and are prone to failure.
The construction of a staircase machine according to the invention avoids these disadvantages in that a changeover switch is used, the movable contact piece of which moves in two mutually perpendicular planes and at the same time causes the mechanical position locking of the armature in the switched-on position. The movable contact piece actual case drehba r mi t the armature of solenoids connected and .steht under the influence of a switching spring which is on one hand strives to withdraw the movable contact piece to the magnet armature in the switch-off of the device, on the other hand, the movable contact of the changeover switch in a Turn the plane perpendicular to the direction of pull of the magnet. During the pulling movement of the magnet armature, the movable contact piece initially grinds on the slideway of a fixed contact that forms the feed line to the coil winding of the magnet, slides away from it at the upper end of the magnet stroke, thereby interrupting the coil current, and is rotated by the switching spring perpendicular to the direction of attraction of the magnet . In this position it comes into contact with the sliding track of a second fixed contact piece, which is arranged perpendicular to the direction of attraction of the pull magnet, on the one hand switches on the heating of the thermal time element and on the other hand is mechanically prevented by this fixed contact piece from returning to the switched-off position of the device. The bimetallic strip of the thermal time element, which sags as a result of the heating, rotates the movable contact piece of the changeover switch back until it, interrupting the heating current, loses its hold on the slide of the second fixed contact piece and from the switching spring in the direction of the. Switch-off position of the device is withdrawn. Before the switch-off position is reached, the movable contact piece is caught by a nose of the thermal time element, which only releases the last part of the switch-off path after the bimetallic strip has cooled down and bent back.
The armature i of the pull magnet .2 is firmly connected to the movable contact piece 3. The movable contact piece 3 is connected by the switching spring ¢ to the movable contact piece 5, which together with the fixed contact 6 forms the working contact of the device. The arrangement is such that the armature i pushes the movable contact piece 5 from the fixed contact 6 in the dropped state, i.e. keeps the normally open contact open, and that the switching spring q. on the movable contact piece 3 with the armature 1 on the one hand a tensile force in the direction of the fallen state of the armature i, on the other hand a torque in a plane perpendicular to the direction of movement of the armature i. This torque first presses the movable contact piece 3 against the sliding track 7 of the fixed contact piece 8, which is connected to the coil winding end 9 of the pull magnet: z .. Next to your fixed contact piece 8, a second fixed contact piece io is arranged, its sliding track ii perpendicular to Slideway 7 of the fixed contact piece 8 'lies and which is connected to the heater 12 of the bimetallic strip 13. The bimetallic strip 13, together with its heating 12, forms the thermal time element and carries at its movable end an adjusting screw r4 @ that serves to set the time - which blocks the waste path of the armature i with the movable contact piece 3 approximately in the middle of the path when the bimetal strip 13 is bent due to heating is. In the exemplary embodiment, a ceramic resistor is used as heater 12, which heats the bimetallic strip 13 placed around it by thermal radiation. Instead of a ceramic resistor, any other type of heating can also be used as heating 12, e.g. B. wrapping the bimetal strip 13 with a resistance wire. The movable contact piece 5 and from this via the switching spring q. the movable contact piece 3 are also connected to a network phase. The other mains phase leads firstly via the lamps 15 to be switched on by the normally open contact of the device to the fixed contact 6, secondly via actuating pushbuttons 16 a & the coil winding end 17 of the pull magnet 2, the other coil winding end 9 of which is connected to the fixed contact piece 8, and thirdly via the heating 12 of the thermal time element to the fixed contact piece io. By pressing a push button 16, the coil circuit is closed, since the movable contact piece 3 rests on the .Gleitbahn 7 of the fixed contact piece 8, and the pull magnet 2 is excited. The armature i with the movable contact piece 3 is attracted and moves upwards. The normally open contact of the device is closed and the lamps 15 receive power. Shortly before reaching the uppermost position of the armature i, the movable contact piece 3 slides off the slide 7 of the fixed contact piece 8, switches off the coil circuit and is activated by the switching spring q. rotated about the axis of the armature i. As a result of this rotation, the movable contact piece 31 reaches the fixed contact piece io, and thus closes the contact for the heating 12 of the thermal time element and is simultaneously removed from the fixed contact piece io. prevented from falling back to its original position. The bimetallic strip 13 begins to bend as a result of its heating, lays itself against the movable contact piece 3 in the course of the bending movement and pushes it along the slide path ii of the fixed contact piece io until it slides off this and thereby provides the contact for the heating 12 of the thermal time element opens. The movable contact piece-3 is pulled down by the pulling action of the switching spring q The now unheated thermal time element begins to cool down, the @ bimetallic strip 13 bends back as a result and places the movable contact piece 3 following the movement due to the rotary action of the switching spring q., the slide 7 of the fixed contact piece 8, so that the contact for closing the coil circuit and preparing the device for a new switch-on process.
Because the movable contact piece 3 does not immediately hit the slide 7 of the fixed contact piece 8 touches down, it is achieved that a new switch-on movement of the armature i can only take place when the thermal time element is far enough Has cooled to prevent the movable contact piece 3 from running again on the Io no longer obstruct the sliding path i of the fixed contact piece io. This way of working of the device offers on the one hand the possibility of the burning time of the stairwell lighting to be extended by pressing an actuation pushbutton 16 again, on the other hand- it provides a backup of the coil winding of the pull magnet 2 against impermissible Heating if an actuating pushbutton 16 gets stuck.
If the bimetallic strip 13 continues to cool, the adjusting screw slips 1q. below that due to the abutment on the slide 7 of the fixed contact piece 8 on the successor hindered movable contact piece 3 away, so that this now by the switching spring q. can be withdrawn into the switch-off position. Included the existing of the movable contact piece 5 and the fixed contact piece 6 is The device's normally open contact is open and the stairwell lighting goes out. By Turning the adjusting screw 1q. the switch-on time of the device can be changed will. With a suitable arrangement of the pull magnet .2 with the armature i and the movable one Contact piece 3 and the fixed contact piece 8 to each other, it is possible that movable contact piece 3 and the fixed contact piece 8, insofar as the same are made of magnetizable Material exist to be included in the magnetic circuit of the pull magnet and thereby the contact pressure of the movable contact piece 3 on the slide 7 of the fixed contact piece 8 during the withdrawal movement of the pull magnet 2 considerably to increase.
Fig. Q shows another embodiment of the invention in side view in the switched-off state. In this case, the movable contact piece 3 is suspended from the armature i of the pull magnet 2 so as to be rotatable about an axis 18. The thermal time element is arranged in front of the pull magnet: 2, the fixed contact piece 8 with the slide 7 lies below the bimetallic strip 13 of the thermal time element. The fixed contact piece io with the slideway ii lies laterally next to the fixed contact piece B. When the movable contact piece 3 slides off the slideway 7 of the fixed contact piece 8, the switching spring q rotates. the movable contact piece 3 about the axis 18. The armature i is not rotated with it. Otherwise, the mode of operation of this arrangement is the same as that of the first described.
