Die Neuerung betrifft eine metallische Flachdichtung, insbesondere Zylinderkopfdichtung, mit einem Dichtungsblech und einer Brennraumöfihung sowie einer die Brennraumöfihung umschließenden Sicke, wobei in der Brennraumöfihung ein an der Stirnseite des Dichtungsbleches anliegender Ring mit größerer Dicke als das Dichtungsblech eingesetzt ist.The innovation concerns a metallic flat gasket, in particular a cylinder head gasket, with a sealing plate and a combustion chamber opening as well as a bead enclosing the combustion chamber opening, whereby a ring with a greater thickness than the sealing plate is inserted into the combustion chamber opening and rests against the front side of the sealing plate.
Um Schadraumvolumen im Bereich der Zylinderkopfdichtung zu verringern, wird bei metallischen Zylinderkopfdichtungen verstärkt der Einsatz von kleinen Einbauhöhen gefordert. Dieser Forderung wird man mit einlagigen Stahldichtungen am besten gerecht. Die einlagigen Stahldichtungen weisen jedoch das Problem auf, daß die zur Abdichtung des Brennraumes notwendige Sicke gegen Verformung geschützt werden muß. Die US-PS 3 053 544 zeigt eine einlagige Flachdichtung, bei der die Sicke durch Umbördeln des Dichtungsrandes geschützt wird.
