Cigarette butt box for cigarette packets, which is used to put out and collect cigarettes

Cigarette packets are offered without the possibility of putting out the cigarettes and then collecting the butts. On numerous occasions - in parks, on forest paths, in front of shops, bus stops, etc. - the butts are simply thrown away. Studies have shown that 1 butt makes 8 liters of water undrinkable. This occurs when rainwater washes out the ingredients of the tobacco and carries them into the groundwater. The butt box is therefore a small piece of the mosaic in the effort to relieve the burden on the environment by collecting butt waste and preventing ecologically unacceptable pollution of the groundwater. Surveys of smokers showed a pleasingly high level of acceptance for the box.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the problem of creating a storage facility for cigarette butts which: - is conveniently available to the smoker at any time when he buys cigarettes, - allows the cigarette to be stubbed out, - prevents the embers from igniting the box,
- Ash does not escape and smoke does not enter the cigarette packet.

This problem is solved with the features listed in claim 1 of locking a cigarette butt box to the cigarette box during the production of the cigarette box

Advantage: The invention ensures that cigarette packets with butt boxes retain their normal format
only 1mm larger per side and thus fit into the usual vending machine slots.

A variant of the production-coupled box is the box that can be subsequently pushed onto the cigarette box, which is then provided with a tensile coupling for the cigarette box. In all other respects, the box complies with the above protection claims.

An embodiment of the invention of the production-coupled tipping box is explained using Figures 1 - 4, the uncoupled one using Figure 5. Figures 3 and 4 show sections in the plane AB of Figure 1. They show:

After purchasing the cigarette packet, the cigarette shaft (2) can be pulled out of the cigarette butt box (1) until the cigarette butt chamber (3 - 3a) is fully open, the lid can be opened using the lid tab (4a), the cigarette can be stubbed out using the squeezing device (5) and inserted into the fireproof, hermetically sealed cigarette butt chamber (3) through the opening (6), the sealing lid (4) can be closed and the cigarette packet can be pushed back into the cigarette butt box until it stops. The cigarette butt box is designed in such a way that it provides fire and odor protection and the lid prevents ash from escaping.

This creates the possibility of environmentally friendly disposal of cigarette butts.
