Description:

The invention relates to an attachment tube for gas lighters for lighting difficult-to-reach fire places, e.g. in model making, in the laboratory, and other applications, for example for lighting fire places in model steam boilers. In a simple way, it is possible to light an adjustable flame using the attachment tube and a second lighter or a match, which can be brought directly to fire places that are otherwise difficult to reach.

There are many devices for creating fire, especially lighters or gas lighters that run on gaseous fuel, where the flame can be set to a higher or lower height. They all have one disadvantage in common: the flame cannot be easily directed to hard-to-reach, even hidden, fire places. The device is usually too bulky.

Accordingly, the invention is based on the object of designing a device without this defect and which thereby enables safe handling of an open flame.

SO According to the invention, the object is achieved in that an attachment tube—consisting of a plastically deformable tube, the lower end of which is provided with a nozzle—is put over the gas nozzle of a lighter and is held in place with a rubber band. The attachment tube remains flexible and yet relatively firmly mounted and

The flame is ignited at the top of the attachment tube either with a second lighter or with a match after the gas released by finger pressure (as is usual when operating a lighter) has flowed from the gas nozzle into the attachment tube. This makes it possible to handle an open flame safely. The flame goes out again as soon as the gas supply is interrupted.

Attachment tube for gas lighters for lighting difficult-to-reach fires, e.g. in model making, in the laboratory, and other applications, characterized in that it consists of a flexible, deformable tube (1) with an upper opening (4) to which a nozzle (2) is attached at the lower opening. The attachment tube is attached to the lighter by slipping the gas nozzle (3) over the nozzle end (2) and a fastening strap (6). S. Attachment tube for gas lighters according to claim 1, characterized in that the attachment tube is inserted directly into the milled recess (5) of the gas nozzle of the lighter, which recess is adapted to its diameter.
