Die Erfindung betrifft ein Sattelpolster gemäß Gattungsbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a saddle pad according to the generic term of claim 1.

Im neuzeitlichen Reitsattelbau werden darartige Sattelpolster im Falle eines Sattelsitzpolsters, gewöhnlich als integrales Bauteil aus einem weichelastischen Schaumstoff bestehend, auf einen schalenförmigen Kunststoffsattelbaum aufgelegt. Auf diesem Sattelsitzpolster kommt sodann unmittelbar das Satteloberleder zu liegen. Es wird damit auf verhältnismäßig einfache und rationelle Weise ein formstabiler, gutgepolsterter Sattel erhalten. Dennoch kann es bei längeren und/oder strapaziösen Ritten geschehen, daß das Gesäß des Reiters zu schmerzen beginnt, da es trotz der Polsterung des Sattels überwiegend lokal im Gesäßknochenbereich belastet wird. Ebenso kann der Pferderücken im Bereich des Sattelkissens, dessen Postermaterial gewöhnlich aus Kunst- oder Naturwolle, Filz oder gleichfalls aus Schaumstoff besteht, Druck- und infolgedessen auch Scheuerstellen davontragen. Das Sattelsitzpolster 4 besteht in insoweit herkömmlicher Weise zum wesentlichen Teil aus einem weichelastischen Schaumstoff, beispielsweise Polyurethan- oder Polyethylen-Schaumstoff, oder auch aus Filz. Es kann unmittelbar mit dem sog.
