Attaching a decorative profile to a drawer side wall

In the case of the aforementioned detachable fastening of a decorative profile on a drawer side wall, it had previously been proposed to do this without any aids. The decorative profile was simply hung on one side, e.g. at the top, on the drawer side wall, and then pivoted downwards with a corresponding pivoting movement, whereby a correspondingly designed spring tab of the drawer decorative profile locked behind an associated longitudinal groove.

Such a fastening is known, for example, from 0 DE-OS 40 07 850.7.

Such a production is relatively complex, because it requires relatively complex extruded profiles, which may also have undercut grooves.

The innovation is therefore based on the task of developing a fastening between a decorative profile and a drawer side wall in such a way that both the decorative profile and the drawer side wall can be manufactured more easily.

The key feature of the innovation is that appropriate connecting parts are now used to detachably connect the two parts.

In a first embodiment, it is provided that the decorative profile is provided with a retaining clip on one side and has a clip part on a side remote from it.

In this case, it is preferred if the parts mentioned are arranged in an internal longitudinal groove of the decorative profile and can be spread using appropriate spreading means so that the spreading mandrels arranged on the respective holding parts can be spread either automatically in a spring-loaded manner or with the aid of a tool in the upper and lower limits of the longitudinal groove.

In a first embodiment, it is provided that a retaining clip is arranged at one end and a clip part is arranged remotely from it.

In another embodiment, it is provided that two retaining clips are arranged at a distance from each other on the decorative profile and in a third embodiment, it is provided that two clip fastenings can be anchored at a distance from each other in the longitudinal groove.

The clip parts are then attached by engaging with corresponding locking legs into corresponding recesses in the drawer side wall or one of its side parts.

The retaining clip is attached after the clip parts have been attached. The decorative panel is already placed on the drawer side wall and only needs to be fixed in place using the retaining clips. To do this, the retaining clips are inserted into the longitudinal groove provided for this purpose in the decorative panel and at the same time grip behind a corresponding side part of the drawer side wall using a spring element.

The subject matter of the present innovation arises not only from the subject matter of the individual protection claims, but also from the combination of the individual protection claims with one another.

All documents, including the summary, disclosed information and features, in particular the spatial configuration shown in the drawings, are claimed as essential to the invention insofar as they are new individually or in combination compared to the prior art.

Figure 1 shows an exploded view of the innovative connection. It can be seen that the drawer side wall has a side part 14, which serves to attach the decorative panel 2.

For this purpose, 14 locking recesses 6 are provided in the side wall as well as a further recess 7 in the middle of the locking recesses 6.

A longitudinal groove 5 is provided in the decorative panel 2, in which a clip part 4 and a retaining clip 3 are already attached.

Figures 2 to 5 show several representations of the retaining clip 3 and the clip part 4. Both parts 3,4 consist essentially of a body 9,17, in each of which an inner recess 13,21 is provided.

On the outside, two expanding mandrels 10, 20 are provided, as well as two guides 11 on the retaining clip 3 and four guides 18 on the clip part 4 for guiding in the longitudinal groove 5 of the decorative panel 2. The retaining clip 3 has a conical stop 12, which prevents the retaining clip 3 from being completely

is inserted into the longitudinal groove 5 and can no longer be pulled back. A handle 16 is provided for pulling it back.

In addition, a bracket 8 is attached, which in the assembled state rests against the back of the side part of the drawer side wall 1 and thus creates a force-fit connection between the drawer side wall

For this purpose, two locking legs 19 are provided on the clip part 4, which are bent approximately in a C-shape.

To assemble, the clip part 4 is now inserted into the longitudinal groove 5 of the decorative panel and expanded there. The fixing is carried out using the expanding mandrels 20.

2 are moved towards each other in the direction of arrow 2 2 or 21, so that the locking legs 19 of the clip part 4 can engage in the associated locking recesses 6 on the side part 14 of the drawer side wall 1. The retaining clip 3 is then inserted in the direction of arrow 24 into the longitudinal groove 5 and at the same time rests with its bracket 8 on the back of the side part 14 of the drawer side wall 1.

To release the connection, the retaining clip 3 is removed in the direction of arrow 23 and then by moving the drawer side wall 1 relative to the decorative panel 2 in the direction of arrow 23, 24, the clip part 4 with its locking legs 19 is released from the corresponding locking recesses 6. Alternatively, it is also possible to insert a tool through the recess 7 and thereby release the connection.

Figure 6 shows the assembled state, whereby it is clear that a cover 15 can be attached to the decorative panel 2 in order to create a closed surface. The cover 15 covers the top of the drawer side wall 1.

The innovation makes it easier to produce drawer side walls and decorative panels.
