Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kartonverpackung mit Schutz des Inhalts gegen Befall durch Ungeziefer wie Kakerlaken, Motten, Termiten und dergleichen.The invention relates to a cardboard packaging with protection of the contents against infestation by vermin such as cockroaches, moths, termites and the like.
Insbesondere im Nahrungsmittelbereich werden Lebensmittel in Kartonverpackungen häufig durch Ungeziefer verschiedenster Art befallen. Angelockt durch die Duftstoffe des Lebensmittels frißt sich das Ungeziefer durch das Kartonmaterial hindurch und dringt so in den Innenraum der Verpackung beispielsweise einer Schachtel aus Kartonmaterial vor. Dieses Problem ergibt sich vor allem bei kartonverpackter Ware in Lager- und Transporträumen. Insbesondere in südlichen Ländern mit warmem Klima ist der Befall kartonverpackter Ware durch Ungeziefer besonders ausgeprägt.Particularly in the food sector, food in cardboard packaging is often infested by various types of vermin. Zum Schutz kartonverpackter Ware gegen Befall durch Ungeziefer hat man bereits Innenbeutel aus einem für Ungeziefer gewöhnlich undurchdringbaren Kunststoff verwendet, in die die Ware zunächst eingefüllt wird und die nach einer Versiegelung in die eigentliche Kartonverpackung eingebracht werden. Aber diese Lösung hat den Nachteil, daß das Ungeziefer, angelockt durch den Duft der durch das Kunststoffmaterial des Innenbeutels nach außen diffundierenden Aromästoffe, dennoch in die Kartonverpackung eindringt. Ganz gleich, ob so in den Innenraum der Kartonverpackung eingedrungenes Ungeziefer die Kartonverpackung wieder verläßt oder tot oder lebendig in der Verpackung bleibt, wird die Ware durch die an bzw. in der Kartonverpackung hinterlassenen Spuren des Ungeziefers unverkäuflich oder gibt jedenfalls zu erheblichen Reklamationen Anlaß. Beispielsweise wird auch beobachtet, daß das Ungeziefer trotz eines Schutzes der Ware durch Verwendung eines Innenbeutels in die Verpackung eindringt und dort Eier ablegt. Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung dieser Aufgabe besteht darin, daß Bitterstoffe und/oder Geruchsstoffe oder Stoffe mit äquivalenter Wirkung - insgesamt als "Wirkstoffe" bezeichnet -, auf die der Geschmacks- und/oder Geruchssinn des Ungeziefers anspricht und die eine abschreckende Wirkung auf Ungeziefer ausüben, derart in oder an dem Kartonmaterial oder in oder an dem Material einer Innenverpackung der Kartonverpackung in einer Verteilung angeordnet sind, daß eine den Innenraum der Verpackung ringsum abschirmende Schutzhülle gebildet wird. Bitterstoffe sind bekanntlich Verbindungen pflanzlichen Ursprungs, die einen hohen Grad an Bitterkeit aufweisen. Als stärkster Bitterstoff ist Amarogentin bekannt, das noch in einer Verdünnung von 1:60 000 000 als bitter schmeckend empfunden wird. Als Geruchsstoffe kommen vor allem etherische Öle z. B. Melissenöl aus Zitronenmelisse, die auch Bitterstoffe enthält, in Betracht. Damit die Bitterstoffe an bzw. in dem Kartonmaterial eine abschreckende Wirkung entwickeln und über eine möglichst lange Zeitdauer behalten, andererseits die Kartonverpackung keinen für den Menschen unangenehmen oder als aufdringlich empfundenen Duft entwickelt, ist eine entsprechende Dosierung der Bitterstoffe beim Einbringen in das Kartonmaterial angebracht.Additional items or inserts such as mothballs or the like are not required. Die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Kartonverpackung 1 in Schachtelform ist ringsum mit einem Schutz des Inhalts gegen Befall durch Ungeziefer wie Kakerlaken, Motten, Termiten und dergleichen versehen. Hierfür weist das Kartonmaterial 2, wie in Fig. 2 rein schematisch zwecks Veranschaulichung dargestellt ist, Bitterstoffe 4 in feinster Verteilung in einer Zwischenschicht 3 aus Karton auf, die beidseitig mit Außenschichten aus PE-Material versehen sind, die für die Aroma- bzw. Duftstoffe der Bitterstoffe 4 durchlässig sind. Natürlich kommt auch eine einseitige PE-Beschichtung in Betracht.
