The most common sports injuries are ankle fractures. These injuries can occur during sports or in other everyday situations.

The invention specified in the claims is based on the following problem:

- A normal shoe is not designed to prevent twisting or to absorb the energy that occurs when you twist your ankle.

- The ankle and the ligaments have to bear the entire load, which often leads to ligament tears.

- Shoes that do not give way when you bend, i.e. are rigid, can lead to knee injuries during sport, as the knee has to absorb the resulting energy.

These problems are solved by the features listed in claims 1 and 2.

Protection claims 1

- The safety strap (2) is slightly stretchable, for example in sports shoes, and it absorbs energy when you twist your ankle, like a human strap.

- The load on the human ankle ligaments is reduced,

the risk of ligament or capsule tears is reduced. At the same time, it is guaranteed that the load that the knee has to bear (due to the safety ligaments) is minimal.

- Sprains are prevented prematurely.

- The freedom of movement of the joint is maintained and there is no hindrance when performing sporting activities.

Protection claims 2

- The safety band (2) is not stretchable, so it protects joints whose ligaments are already overstretched and therefore often twist.

- This device is for everyday use because under normal circumstances, sprains occur for reasons other than sports and can usually be prevented in advance.
