Process for the production of cyantetrazole or its salts It is

The present method is compared to the known method

achieved and made cyantetrazole an easily accessible body.
Tetrazol liefert. Aus Tetrazolcarbamid entsteht mit Säuren, z. B. beim Kochen mit
Salzsäure, ebenfalls Tetrazol unter Abspaltung von Kohlendioxyd und Ämmoniak. .

When saponified with alkalis, it is converted into a tetrazolecarboxylic acid salt which, when acidified, yields tetrazole with the elimination of carbon dioxide. Tetrazole carbamide is formed with acids, e.g. B. when boiling with hydrochloric acid, also tetrazole with elimination of carbon dioxide and ammonia. . Examples i. 50 g of copper sulfate are dissolved in 400 cc of water. A solution of 21 g of cyan sodium and 6.5 g of sodium azide in zoo cc of water is added dropwise at 30 ° to 35 ° with stirring. The addition takes place within about 30 minutes. During the addition, copper cyanuric separates out. The mixture is kept at 40 ° to 45 ° with stirring for a further 2 hours, then cooled and the copper cyanur which has separated out is filtered off with suction. The filtrate is taken under reduced pressure. evaporated almost to dryness and extracted with acetone. The acetone extract behind. on evaporation leaves 12 to 149 cyanetrazole sodium with 11/2 molecules of water of crystallization.

Es. läßt sich aus Wasser oder aus Aceton umkristallisieren.2. 100 g of cyan sodium and 65 g of sodium azide are dissolved in 8oo cc of water. 100 g of manganese peroxide are added with stirring, and then a mixture of zoo cc of 50 percent by volume sulfuric acid, 2 g of copper sulfate and 12o g of 85% formic acid is added dropwise over the course of 30 minutes. The temperature is rising. It is kept at about 40 ° by cooling. When the acid mixture has completely flowed in, the mixture is heated to 60 ° and kept at this temperature for 2 hours. After cooling to room temperature, the excess manganese peroxide and separated manganese formate are filtered off. Now you neutralize with sodium carbonate, the still dissolved manganese precipitates out as manganese carbonate by further addition of sodium carbonate and this is filtered off. It is neutralized with formic acid, evaporated to dryness in vacuo, and that which is fairly readily soluble in acetone is extracted. Cyanetrazole sodium with boiling acetone. Up to 135 g Na C2 N5 * 1.5 H2 O. -3 are obtained. A solution of 65 g of sodium azide in zoo cc of water is added to 600 cc of diluted hydrocyanic acid, which contains 55 g of hydrogen cyanide, and a mixture of 105 g of 35% hydrogen peroxide, 6 cc of 85% formic acid and 100 cc Pour in water with 2 g of copper sulfate. The temperature is now allowed to rise gradually, but it is ensured by cooling that it does not exceed 45 °. After it has been kept at 40 to 45 ° for 1 hour, the mixture is heated to about 90 ° for 1/2 hour and concentrated in vacuo to about. 300 cc. Small amounts of hydrogen cyanide and hydrazoic acid pass over. A small amount of an amorphous copper compound is filtered off from the salt solution and distilled to dryness in vacuo. Only a little contaminated cyantetrazole sodium remains with a yield of more than 20%. It. can be recrystallized from water or from acetone.
