Durch Bohrungen, Schweißpunkte oder dergleichen bedingte Schäden bleiben hierbei nicht zurück. Der innere geschlossene Hohlzylinder kann als zusätzliche, axiale Aufnahme beispielsweise für Rollen, Griffe, Werbetafeln oder dergleichen dienen. An der erfindungsgemäßen Profilschiene können somit über die gesamte Länge seitlich sowie an beiden Enden axial Komponenten des Einkaufswagens befestigt werden, was die Profilschiene für sämtliche Einkaufswagentypen verwendbar macht. Die äußeren Wangen sorgen dabei für ein hohes Maß an Biegesteifigkeit, so daß auch relativ dünnwandige Profilschienen den starken Beanspruchungen eines Einkaufswagens gewachsen sind.
