Description
Electric incandescent lamp, especially dwarf incandescent lamp and method too Their manufacture The base of electric light bulbs are usually attached to the glass bulb attached with putty. A synthetic resin putty is best suited as a high-strength putty, which consists of heat-curable polymers and fillers. Such a Putty must be pickled in the production with temperatures of over Zoo ° C. at Incandescent lamps with a large base in relation to the size of the glass bulb, in particular the dwarf incandescent lamps., this putty cannot be used in practice. ,Covered namely the cement mass a larger part of the surface of the glass bulb, for example more than 15%, when the putty is heated for the purpose of hardening, a large part will be Dwarf incandescent lamps usually cover the entire glass bulb, inevitably at this high temperature brought. Here, harmful gases, in particular adsorbed, occur in the glass flask Oxygen and water vapor, from this and spoil the gas filling or the Vacuum. If you were to use miniature light bulbs that are large in relation to the glass bulb Have base, base with the synthetic resin putty common for other incandescent lamps, see above the lamp would become unusable in a short time.
For this reason, such incandescent lamps are capped with a putty, that for its hardening no or only little heating until significantly below Zoo ° C, for example with plaster of paris. This base putty has now again a very low mechanical strength and adhesion, which is why . its replacement by others. Medium is very welcome.
The invention consists in that in an electric incandescent lamp, in particular a dwarf incandescent lamp, the one in relation to the size of the glass bulb has a large base, so that the surface of the glass bulb covered by the base cement is at least rso / o of the total surface, a hardened one at at least Zoo ° C Base putty, for example Kunstliorzkitt, is used .. The invention continues Process on how such a lamp can be made without the above defects described occur. For this purpose, the invention is so. proceeded that the base is fastened by means of the putty which can be cured at at least Zoo ° C performed simultaneously with or before venting or gas filling the glass flask becomes: The light bulb after the. Invention has for this purpose a pump tube that either on a part of the glass bulb protruding from the base, for example on the bulb dome, is attached, or it has a base with an opening for the passage of the Purnprohres aufweisf to the outside. This makes it possible to pump and To vent the glass bulb, after which the base is already on the glass bulb is set. The simultaneous hardening. of the base cement by increasing the temperature and pumping the glass bulb proves to be particularly useful, since this is the One-time heating is used for two functions, namely to harden the putty and for degassing, the glass bulb.
The accompanying drawing to explain the invention shows a Dwarf incandescent lamp in an exemplary embodiment in FIG. while FIG. 2 shows a device for producing this lamp in partial longitudinal section represents, with which the inventive method can be carried out.-The The invention is mainly used in miniature incandescent lamps; these are light bulbs, their lamp bulbs in the usual way with a very large in relation to their size large base. With them, therefore, a proportionately larger one Part of the piston surface covered by the base putty, about 150/9 or more. The ones from Putty-covered area can even make up over 25%. For comparison it should be mentioned that with normal general-use incandescent lamps for normal mains voltages in general only about 2% of the piston surface is covered by the cement. In Fig. I there is one Branch incandescent lamp shown with the usual pearl butt seal, i.e. the Inside the glass bulb 3 located tungsten filament 4 of two power supply wires 5 and 6, which is supported inside the glass bulb 3 by a glass bead 7 in mutual .distance are kept. The power supply wires 5, 6 are in Usually melted airtight into the glass vessel 3, namely, narrowly through Attach a special glass tube to the open neck of the glass flask 3 or also in a manner known per se by squeezing the neck of the flask. The base this incandescent lamp consists for example of a metal sleeve 8, which is not shown May have bayonet flaps or threads and one opposite to the sleeve 8 iso- ' lated ground contact 9. -This base is according to the invention with the glass bulb 3 firmly connected by means of a putty compound that hardens at at least 2ao ° C. For venting and, if necessary, gas filling the lamp. in the example according to Fig. -i the pump tube. attached to the piston dome at ii and leaves behind after removal .the small illumination shown.
The use of such, at temperatures of at least zoo ° C hardened putty with a lamp in which the putty mass is at least 15% of the covered the entire glass surface, was made possible by this. that the hardening of the Putty not as usual after pumping and final sealing of the. Lamperrkolbena was made, but .simultaneously with the pumping process or even before. Attaching the pump tube to the piston dome enables such a thing Sequence of operations without further information .. It would also be conceivable to use the pump drum in the usual way at the other end of the lamp bulb (at 12), if that is the base instead of the ground contact 9 has a sufficiently large opening for passage of the pump tube. This is obvious, for example, with such bases the case, which only serve to mechanically fasten the lamp, but not as electric contact. Such lamps are used in mine lights, in which to avoid sparks and voltage drops the lamp a-Is cable earlier and directly connected to the contacts of the power source be firmly connected.
The method by which the lamp according to Fig. I is manufactured, will be explained in more detail with reference to the device shown in FIG. The power supply wires 5, 6- are. first, before the .Sockel 8 is put on, in the glass bulb 3 has been melted vacuum-tight, and z'vvar in a known manner, be it through Attaching a special glass tube or by squeezing it into the neck of the glass flask 3. On the dome of the glass bulb 3 is a special glass tube that serves as a pump tube 13 melted, via the detachable sealing sleeve i4 to the vacuum pump or to the Filling gas line leads. Before the venting process begins, the base 8 Provided with a sufficient amount of cement and placed on the lamp bulb 3. The power supply wires 5, 6 are through a corresponding opening on Base bottom or side next to base sleeve 8 pulled out. Above the lamp bulb 3 with the base 8 is now one with an electrical heating coil provided hood 15 is turned over. It causes the glass bulb 3 to be heated in such a way Height that occluded gas and moisture residues are expelled: and heated at the same time the base putty so far, ailso down to at least 200-Q C, that it finally hardened and establishes a firm connection between the base and the glass bulb. By simultaneously connecting the pump tube 13 to the vacuum line the released gases and water vapor are removed. A gas filling can then also be used of the piston. After bake-out, pumping and if necessary Gas filling and after the base cement has finally hardened, the pump tube is 13 separated from the piston 3 by the gas flames emanating from the burners 16 heat the pump tube 13 until it softens and collapses. By an additional slight downward movement of the sleeve 14 holding the glass tube 13 in a clamped manner the pump tube 13 is finally separated, and it remains on the piston 3 a slight Elevation T i (Fig. I), the lamp 3 itself is carried by the bracket 17 and can be removed from this after folding up the hood 15. It goes without saying that the shown Vorridhtung with minor modifications to an automatic Machine can be used that all the processes described automatically performs.
