vom Original abweichende Bandgeschwindigkeit ohne zusätzlichen apparativen Aufwand
herzustellen.Process for making contact copies of magnetic sound recordings
The present invention is concerned with the reproduction of magnetic sound recordings
on tape-shaped sound carriers using the contact copying process. It is known from
an original band carrying the modulation to be reproduced, or mother band for short
called, on other tapes, called daughter tapes for short, to make copies by doing this,
that the daughter bands are brought into contact with the mother band and at the point of contact
while passing by, together with the mother ligament, an auxiliary alternating field is more sufficient
Frequency are exposed. Through this auxiliary alternating field, the daughter band is under
the influence of the stray field of the mother tape with the ideal magnetization characteristic
Magnetized hysteresis-free, so that the remanent
Magnetization of the daughter band a true representation of the external field of the mother band
represents. A hysteresis-free magnetization can be achieved if in place
of the auxiliary magnetic fields other physical forms of energy, e.g. B. heat, ultrasound,
mechanical vibrations or the like., occur. The disadvantage of this method. is,
that both bands, that is, the daughter and the mother band, of the field's effect
exposed
so that one is forced to cover the two ligaments
to use such a different coercive force so that the one on the mother tape
existing magnetization is not affected by the auxiliary field,
while at the same time the daughter band in the approximated hysteresis-free state
comes. If it is now possible, at the point of contact between the mother and daughter band,
to concentrate the form of energy required for linearization on the daughter band,
while the mother band remains unaffected by this, there is the great advantage
to use such a high coercive force for the daughter band and thus
to get a better quality of the copy. It also succeeds in the linearizing
Field to an extent dependent on the smallest wavelength to be transmitted
To limit the longitudinal direction of the tape, the mother and daughter tape may have different
Speed is moved, and it: there is the possibility of making copies for
Belt speed deviating from the original without additional equipment
to manufacture.
Dabei
kann es unter Umständen noch vorteilhaft sein, noch ein zusätzliches Hilfsfeld einzuführen;
The invention now realizes the described conditions in the simplest possible way
Way in that the daughter tape at the point of contact over an edge with the smallest possible
Radius of curvature angled under a certain tension is deflected while the mother band
just need to lie lightly. At the kink then arises in the daughter tape
a state of tension that is narrowly limited in the longitudinal direction, in the form of the magnetostriction effect
able to exert a linearizing effect on the magnetization process. Included
it may still be advantageous under certain circumstances to introduce an additional auxiliary field;
the intensity of which, however, is such that there are none outside the kink
able to exert a noticeable effect neither on the mother nor on the daughter ligament.
With such an arrangement, it is then also possible to transport both belts
to be coordinated so that their relative movement corresponds to the ratio of that for the daughter tape
corresponds to the desired belt speed.
