Description

Wärmegedämmtes Verbundprofil für Fenster, Türen, Fassaden oder dergleichenThermally insulated composite profile for windows, doors, facades or the like

The invention relates to a thermally insulated composite profile for windows, doors or the like with one or more insulating bars connecting the outer shell of each profile beam with the inner shell and delimiting cavities, wherein each cavity is completely or partially filled with a thermal insulation material.

Aluminum composite profiles for windows, doors, facades or the like are primarily hollow profiles whose outer shells are connected to the inner shells by one or more plastic insulating bars in order to improve thermal insulation. The primary goal has always been to gradually reduce unavoidable heat losses in the known frame constructions, i.e. to improve the heat transfer coefficient between the outside and inside of the frame, the so-called k-value. In the previously known frame constructions, plastic casting compounds were filled into the cavities formed between the composite profile 1 outer and inner shells and also into other cavities delimited by profile bars in order to improve thermal insulation. These foam up due to thermal effects, moisture or chemical reactions in order to fill the cavity. It is important to ensure that the pressure that builds up during the expansion reaction is kept at a level that ensures that the composite profile as a whole does not warp. A weak point in this type of filling of cavities is the plastic insulating bars, which can impair the dimensional stability of the frame even when subjected to the slightest of forces due to expansion pressure. Further disadvantages of this method arise from the fact that complex machines and extrusion systems are required to fill the cavities, which inevitably increases the manufacturing costs of the composite profiles.

The invention is based on the task of designing frames for windows, doors or facades consisting of thermally insulated composite profiles with the features of the preamble of claim 1 in such a way that the filling of the cavities between the outer and inner shells of the composite profiles can be carried out in the simplest way possible without the use of expensive machines or systems. In addition, the processor of aluminum hollow profiles, i.e. the metalworker, should also be given the opportunity to fill the cavities with thermally insulating material without any special manufacturing effort.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the thermal insulation material is a prefabricated, flexible expansion strand which is introduced in a compressed state and has a smaller initial cross-section than the respective cavity and which expands automatically after being introduced into the cavity.

Since the thermal insulation material according to the invention consists of a pre-compressed material, it is possible to draw the insulation material in this state from a storage facility, for example from a supply roll, as required. Since in the compressed or compacted state the cross-section of the strand can always be smaller than the cavity, which has fixed dimensions, the strand can be drawn into the cavity very easily by hand. The equipment and machines or systems previously required specifically for filling the cavities can now be dispensed with, an advantage that leads to a considerable reduction in manufacturing costs. It is particularly advantageous that the expansion strand can be drawn in immediately after the composite profiles have been cut to size. This represents a particular cost advantage for the metalworker, i.e. the final processor of the composite profiles. There is also the advantage that the same expansion strands can always be used for different cavity cross-sections, because the strands only have to be cut to one size during processing.

Cross-section that is slightly smaller than the smallest cross-section of the cavities to be filled. After pulling or pushing the expansion string into the cavity, no significant work steps are necessary. The expansion string relaxes itself to such an extent that it gently clings to the inner walls of the respective cavity, either completely or partially, depending on the requirements.

The expansion strip is preferably made of a porous material. Such materials are known as foams and are particularly well suited as insulating materials for the purpose of the invention. In the case of other cavities between the outside and inside of the composite profile frame, it is of course also possible to fill these cavities with conventional foaming materials with solid insulating rods with granulate or powder in order to reduce the heat transport through heat conduction, radiation or convection. "Other" cavities are understood to mean the cavities in the glass rebate area and in the area of the central seals.

The invention is explained in more detail below using several embodiments in conjunction with the drawing.

In Figure 1 and all other figures, the frame consisting of a sash and a frame is shown in cross section. The sash frame is made of an aluminum composite profile 1, the outer shell 2 of which is connected to the inner shell 5 via two parallel insulating bars 3, 4. An insulating glass pane 6 is inserted into the composite profile 1. The glass rebate delimited by the front edge of the insulating glass pane 6 and the facing insulating bar 4 is identified by the reference number 7. The insulating glass pane 6 is secured in a known manner by a glass retaining strip 8 snapped into the inside of the frame, an inner pane seal or a sealing strip and an outer pane seal 9.

Die Expansionsstränge 11, 12 können auch einstückig mit etwa ü-förmi-In the various embodiments according to the figures, two expansion strands 11, 12 are used in each glass rebate 7, which encompass the long edges of the insulating glass pane 6 used. These extend from the edges of the pane to the inner walls of the outer shell 2 or the glass retaining strip 8 facing them, with the areas lying within the glass rebate 7 encompassing the front edges of the insulating glass pane 6 due to their L-shaped or angled cross sections. In the direction of the insulating glass pane 6, the expansion strands 11, 12 lie between the pane seals 9, 10 and the nearest profile webs of the outer shell 2 and the inner shell 5. As a result, the area lying between the pane seals 9, 10 and the said profile webs is continuously shielded with thermal insulation. The expansion strands 11, 12 can also be made in one piece with approximately U-shaped

The lower connecting web 11' is expediently slightly offset in cross-section in order to provide space for ventilation and water drainage in the fold area.

Der Blendrahmen besteht ebenfalls aus einem Aluminium-Verbundprofil 13.The frame is also made of an aluminum composite profile 13.

The outer shell 14 is connected to the inner shell 17 via insulating bars 15, 16. The center seal 20 is located between the insulating bars 3 and 15 of the sash frame and the frame profile 1, 13 facing each other. On both sides of the center seal running along the length of the composite profile, there are strand-shaped molded parts 18, 19, which form two closed hollow chambers in the center seal.

The cavities delimited by the insulating bars 3 and 4 of the sash composite profile 1 and those delimited by the insulating bars 15, 16 of the cover frame composite profile 13 and the associated profile walls of the outer and inner shells 2, 5 and 14, 17 are each filled with an expansion strand made of heat-insulating material, which is porous and can therefore be drawn into the cavities in a compressed state and then adapts to the cross-sections by expansion. The expansion strands can be inserted before the sash and cover frame are fully assembled, by pulling or pushing the expansion strands in the form of compressed strands unrolled from a roll into the open front ends of the individual composite profiles. If the cavities are not closed on all sides in the cross-section, the expansion strands can be inserted lengthwise into the open part of the cavity cross-section.

The arrangement of the expansion strands 11, 12 corresponds to that in Figure 1. The glass retaining strip 8 is adapted to the shape of the outer shell 17.

The embodiment according to Figure 3 differs from the previous figures in the area of the sash frame 1 by the particularly angled shape of the insulating bar 3 and by the central seal 21. The cavity delimited by the insulating bar 15 and the central seal 21 and the molded part 18 is filled with an expansion strand 21' made of the same material as the expansion strands 11, 12.

In the design according to Figure 4, the insulating web 3' of the sash frame composite profile 1 facing the frame composite profile 13 is located close to the outside of the frame. The free end of the central sealing web 20, which is locked into the insulating web 15 of the frame composite profile 13 and the outer shell 14, rests against this stop, which is parallel to the outer surface of the frame profiles. On the opposite side, another web-like central seal 21 is clipped in, which in the closed position of the sash frame strikes against a web 5' of the outer shell 5 of the sash frame composite profile 1.

!In all designs according to Figures 1 to 4, the cavities delimited by the insulating webs 3, 4, if present, and by the insulating webs 15, 16 are each filled with an expansion strand 22, which was drawn in in a compacted or compressed state either by the manufacturer of the profiles or by the processor before being assembled to form a frame. It goes without saying that no special machines or equipment are required for this, since each expansion strand 22 is drawn off and cut to length from a roll. It also follows that even [ irregular cross-sections can be largely filled in this way]. !

Of course, the expansion strands 11, 12 and 21' can also be made from the usual thermally insulating material and used according to the known method.

In the design according to Figure 4, the double effect of the two central seals 20, 21 achieves an extremely good insulating effect in the critical central rebate area between the sash and the frame. Figure 4 also shows that the pane seal 9 and the associated thermal insulation strip 11 and the pane seal 10 with the associated thermal insulation strip 12 can each also be a one-piece, for example co-extruded, molded part. It also shows that the expansion strips 11, 12 or the thermal insulation rods can be designed in cross-section such that the legs that are perpendicular to the pane plane extend to the outer edges of the spacer frame 23, whereby this remains essentially free in order to ensure smooth drainage through holes (not shown) in the lower beam of the respective frame.
