Die Zwischenräume zwischen den einzelnen Segmenten sind dabei relativ groß und verlaufen in radialer Richtung in gerader Linienführung. Die einzelnen Segmente sind nur an einem Punkt mit der Nabe verbunden. Bei hohen Fliegkräften besteht hierbei die Gefahr, daß die Verbindung zwischen Nabe und Reibring sich löst und das jeweilige Segment aus der Bremsscheibe herausgeschleudert wird.Brake discs, particularly internally ventilated discs for railways, are already known, in which the friction rings consist of segments arranged at intervals from one another and evenly distributed around the circumference. Diese Trennfugen oder Kerben können in den fertiggegossenen Reibring bzw. die Bremsscheibe durch Laserschneiden, Wasserstrahlschneiden (Abrasivstrahlschneiden), Erodieren oder Brennschneiden hergestellt werden.
