The invention relates to a display device arrangement with a display device that can be controlled with RGB signals, on whose screen image points can be displayed at certain raster points, and with a light pen control to which a light pen is connected, with which raster points can be selected during an image period and which, when placed on the screen, supplies a placement signal to the light pen control, which thereby causes the selected raster points to be brightened with a preset degree of brightening.
Das licht-Such a display device arrangement with a data display device operating on the television principle is known from the publication "NTZ-Report 15, Data Display Devices", VDE-Verlag 1973, pages 44 and 45. During image reproduction, the cathode ray of the picture tube passes through the raster points on the screen line by line in a fixed order. The coordinates of the raster point hit by the cathode ray, measured in raster units, e.g. pixels, lines, columns, character positions or character rows, can be taken from the reading of a counter which adds up clock pulses synchronously with the deflection of the cathode ray. The impact of the cathode ray on the luminescent layer of the screen causes an increase in brightness at the point of impact. If you select a grid point by placing the light pen on this point, the time of the brightness increase at this point can be determined using the light-sensitive element contained in the light pen, e.g. a photoelement or a phototransistor. The counter reading of a counter at this time indicates the coordinates of the selected grid point. The light-

The sensitive element of the light pen only emits a signal when a highlighted raster point is selected. In order to highlight the raster points, a microswitch is fitted in the tip of the light pen, which is activated when it is placed on the screen and triggers the highlighting of all raster points or a selection of raster points identified by data in the refresh memory for at least one image period. This means that any raster point or any raster point intended for this purpose can be selected immediately, regardless of whether the selected raster point is highlighted in the image currently being displayed or not. Highlighting can be achieved by the light pen control applying a control signal to a color table (look-up table) of the display device arrangement, whereby pre-set colors are displayed on the screen.
The present invention is based on the object of simplifying the brightening of selected raster points in a display device arrangement of the type mentioned at the beginning.
This task is solved by the light pen control supplying a brightening level to the R, G or B signal via a controllable switch to adjust the degree of brightening.
The invention is used in particular in display device controls with newer graphic controllers. These graphic controllers have so-called RAMDACs, in which a color table and a digital-analog converter are integrated. The color table cannot be accessed, which means that it is not possible to switch the color table for brightening.
The invention, its embodiments and advantages are explained in more detail with reference to the drawing, in which an embodiment of the invention is illustrated.

A display device arrangement has a graphic controller 1 provided with a refresh memory, a color table and a digital-analog converter, which supplies RGB signals to a video output stage of a display device 2 (not shown here). The graphic controller 1, e.g. of the type CLGD 54X6 from CIRRUS Logic, is known per se and does not need to be explained in more detail. A light pen 4 is connected to a light pen control 3, which detects raster points shown on a screen 5 of the display device 2 and displays them using a light pulse detection signal via a line 6 of the light pen control 3. In order to be able to detect raster points, it is necessary to brighten the selected raster points. For this purpose, the light pen 4 is provided with a microswitch, which is closed when the light pen 4 is placed on the display, whereby the light pen 4 supplies a placement signal to the light pen control 3 via the line 6. The touchdown signal causes the light pen control 3 to control a controllable switch 7 in the form of a transistor, which in the present embodiment supplies a brightening level to the B signal. The degree of brightening is specified by a suitable operating voltage Ub with corresponding resistance circuitry Ra, Rb of the transistor. The selected raster points brighten and are detected by a light-sensitive element of the light pen 4. This displays the detected raster points to the light pen control 3 using the light pulse detection signal. In order to determine the coordinates of the selected raster points, the light pen control 3 is provided with X, Y coordinate counters (not shown here) which add up the coordinate pulses synchronously with the X, Y scanning of the screen 5. For this purpose, the graphic controller 1 supplies the light pen control 3 with horizontal and vertical synchronization pulses 8, 9, blanking pulses 10 and pixel pulses 11, from which the light pen control 3 generates the coordinate pulses.
