Double container for multi-component products

The innovation is based on a double container for multi-component products according to the generic term of claim 1.

In the known double containers of the type described, the locking ring which serves to secure the lid of the receiving container and which encompasses the edge border itself forms the undercut due to its dimensions, whereby the outwardly flanged bottom fold of the plug-on container forms the outwardly directed bead which, when plugged onto the receiving container, engages behind the locking ring which forms the undercut.

The main disadvantage of the known double containers is that, due to the relatively large manufacturing tolerances permitted in the manufacture of transport containers, a fitting accuracy sufficient for a perfect connection of the containers cannot be guaranteed. Depending on the size and direction of the tolerance, the connection can only be made by forcibly pressing in the push-on part.

The aim of the present innovation is to create a double container of the type described, in which a high degree of fitting accuracy of the connection can be guaranteed.

This task is carried out with double containers with the
reproduced characteristics.

The innovation makes it possible to create a double container with a receptacle in the receptacle lid that is independent of a third element, namely the locking ring, which can also be calibrated in the same way as the counter element, namely the inner curvature of the bottom fold of the push-on container, without any additional manufacturing effort. In addition, the deformation of the lid caused by the groove with external beading contributes significantly to the desired stiffening of the container lid. Another significant advantage, especially for the user of the lid, is that the

connection is independent of a specific design of the locking ring, so the user can use any locking ring for the closure.

The double container shown in the drawing for multi-component products, in particular two-component adhesives, consists of a container 1 with a receiving lid 2 with an undercut 7 and a plug-on container 3, which is flanged to form a fold 5 on its lower edge 4. To produce the undercut, the surface of the receiving lid 2 is provided with a groove 6 running all the way around and the groove 6 on its upper inner edge is provided with a projecting outer bead 8 with an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the fold edge 4 of the plug-on container 3 and the bottom fold 5 is set inwards to a circumference that is less than the circumference of the outer bead 8.

2 the fold can be clipped on precisely due to the elasticity of the material, without any risk of (permanent) deformation of one of the parts. Since both the production of the groove 6 with external bead 8 and the setting of the fold 5 are calibrated, the connection has a high degree of fitting accuracy, which can also be arranged at a point far from the edge, so that the container can be closed in any way that is independent of the container connection.

Claim for protection 1. Double container for multi-component products, in particular two-component adhesives, consisting of a container (1) with a receiving lid (2) having an undercut and a plug-in container (3) which is provided on its lower folded edge (4, 5) with a bead that engages behind the undercut, characterized in that the surface of the receiving lid (2) is provided with a circumferential groove (6) and the groove (6) on its upper inner edge is provided with a protruding outer bead (8) with an outer diameter corresponding to the inner diameter of the folded edge (4) of the plug-in container (3) and the bottom fold (5) is set inwards to a circumference that is less than the circumference of the outer bead (8).
