Zur Reduzierung der Schadstoffe im Abgas werden in einem weiteren Bereich der Heizgerätetechnik schadstoffarme Strahlungsbrenner eingesetzt. Die Anwendung eines keramischen Strahlungsbrenners bei den o. a. Absorptionskältemaschinen führte aber ebenso zu hohen Abstrahlungsverlusten.
