Description
^ Stand der Technik^ State of the art
The actuation mechanism of common instruments for minimally invasive therapy essentially consists of a tubular shaft and a rod-shaped actuation lever. Such a mechanism is used for a range of instruments such as tweezers, grasping forceps and scissors. Using tweezers as an example, this type of actuation has the disadvantage that the tweezers perform an additional lateral movement when closing, i.e. they move away from the gripping point when they are closed.
Erfindunginvention
Diese Art der Betätigung mit in der Längsachse verschiebbaren Elementen macht dieses Instrument für den Einsatz durch enge Trokaröffnungen geeignet, das Werkzeug bleibt bei der Betätigung an seinem Ort, die einfaehe Mechanik ist kostengünstig herzustellen, einfach zu pflegenThe present invention is based on the task of designing a movement mechanism for various instruments for use in minimally invasive therapy, the essential elements of which are two tubes that slide into one another with a separate actuation and a locking mechanism that is also separate. To do this, a movable tube is mounted in a jacket tube that carries the tool to be actuated in such a way that a displacement of the inner tube along the tube axis actuates the tool and, as soon as the tube is fixed in this position, the tool is also fixed. This type of actuation with elements that can be moved along the longitudinal axis makes this instrument suitable for use through narrow trocar openings, the tool stays in place when actuated, the simple mechanism is inexpensive to manufacture and easy to maintain.

The way it works is explained in more detail using the example of tweezers. The casing tube carries the tweezers via a corresponding bar that penetrates the inner tube. The sliding inner tube closes the tweezers when moved forwards by the tweezers' arms being pressed together by the wall of the inner tube. The inner tube is slotted at its end to make room for the bar to hold the tweezers.
For a combined irrigation and suction tube, the inner tube is closed at the end and provided with fine openings so that it acts like a shower for rinsing. When the inner tube is operated, it is pushed forwards, thereby freeing up a larger opening that is used for suction. If clots block this opening, which often happens when rinsing, the large opening can be pulled into the jacket tube by operating the instrument. The sticky clot is cut and the suction opening is exposed again. After the inner tube is pushed forwards, the opening is free again for the suction process. The lateral position of the suction opening advantageously prevents suction from sticking to the tissue and the "shower" makes the rinsing process easier.
