Schutzschaltgerät mit Fernauslösung 5Circuit breaker with remote release 5

The invention relates to a protective switching device with a test circuit, which can be actuated in the ON position by a test button, the connection points of which in the ON position are electrically connected to connection terminals for remote triggering.

In the course of advanced electrical installations, users are increasingly demanding more additional functions from such known protective switching devices - e.g. residual current circuit breakers (Fl) differential current circuit breakers DI) or combined devices, e.g. residual current/circuit breakers (FI/LS) - such as auxiliary switches and/or remote tripping. The additional function "remote tripping" in these devices works on the test device of the switch, whereby the connection points A, 5 of the test button 3 are connected in parallel to two connection terminals 6, 7 for remote tripping, as shown in FIG 2. However, this design has the serious disadvantage that the connection terminals 6, 7 for remote tripping can only be switched off in conjunction with the intended connection of the network and the load to the network terminal 1-N or to the load terminal 2-N on the protective switching device.

For safety reasons, it is therefore necessary to mark the "mains" or "load side" on the switching device or to attach a note to the switching device in the area of the connection terminals for remote release to indicate this defect. The risk to people handling and operating the protective switching device is at least somewhat reduced in this way.

92 G 3 5 3 3 DE92 G 3 5 3 3 EN

A further, separate problem is that in switching devices with a small design, the additional function of remote triggering, for example, can no longer be accommodated in the device.

In most cases, a notice is placed in the area of the connection terminals for remote release on FI, DI or combined devices currently on the market.

The invention is based on the object of creating a protective switching device of the above-mentioned type in which the connection terminals provided for remote triggering are de-energized when the device is in the OFF position. This can be achieved with the features according to claim 1. In this solution, the connection terminals for triggering are de-energized in the OFF position regardless of the connection direction of the protective switching device and any additional information can be omitted. A particularly simple embodiment of the invention exists when the switching position of the auxiliary contact can be controlled by the mechanics of the protective switching device for the switching contacts.

Vorteilhafterweise wird bei Schaltgeräten, bei denen die Anschlußklemmen für die Fernauslösung wegen kleiner Bauweise im Schaltgerät selbst nicht untergebracht werden können, sowohl der Hilfskontakt und die Anschlußklemmen für die Fernauslösung in einem meist schon vorhandenen Schaltergehäuse untergebracht (z.B. im Hilfsschaltergehäuse).Advantageously, in the case of switching devices in which the connection terminals for remote release cannot be accommodated in the switching device itself due to their small size, both the auxiliary contact and the connection terminals for remote release are accommodated in a switch housing that is usually already present (e.g. in the auxiliary switch housing).

Nachdem zur Spannungsfreischaltung der Anschlußklemmen für die Fernauslösung meist nur ein einziger Hilfskontakt benötigt wird und in einem Hilfsschaltergehäuse im Regelfall zwei Kontaktebenen vorhanden sind, wird zweckmäßigerweiseSince only a single auxiliary contact is usually required to de-energize the connection terminals for remote release and there are usually two contact levels in an auxiliary switch housing, it is advisable

92 G 3 5 3 3 DE92 G 3 5 3 3 EN

die zweite Kontaktebene mit einem zweiten Hilfskontakt für die Schaltstellungsmeldung verwendet.the second contact level with a second auxiliary contact is used for the switch position signal.

In the following, an embodiment of the invention is explained in detail with reference to a drawing.

Die FIG 1 zeigt ein Schutzschaltgerät mit einem Prüfstromkreis P, einer Netzklemme 1, einer Lastklemme 2, zwei Nullleiterklemmen N und mechanisch gekoppelten SchaltkontaktenFIG 1 shows a protective switching device with a test circuit P, a mains terminal 1, a load terminal 2, two neutral conductor terminals N and mechanically coupled switching contacts

The electrical connection between the mains terminal 1 and the load terminal 2 on the one hand and between the two neutral conductor terminals N on the other hand is broken by the switching contacts 8 located therein in the event of a fault. The third switching contact located in the test circuit P is mechanically coupled to the other two switching contacts 8 mentioned and therefore has the same switching position. For testing purposes, a test button 3 in the test circuit P can be used to simulate a differential current, which causes all switching contacts 8 to switch to the OFF position if the protective switching device is functioning properly.

Two auxiliary contacts 9, 11 are housed in a separate auxiliary switch housing 10, which are controlled by the mechanism for the switching contacts 8 and thus assume the same switching position. The switching contact 8 is connected to the mains-side connection point 4 of the test button 3 and on the other hand to a connection terminal 7 for remote triggering of the protective switching device. The other connection terminal 6 for remote triggering goes off from the other connection point 5 of the test button 3.

Somit ist sichergestellt,, daß zwar in der EIN-Stellung des Schutzschaltgerätes an der Anschlußklemme 7 Netzspannungspotential ansteht und die Fernauslösung durchgeführt werdenThis ensures that, although the circuit breaker is in the ON position, mains voltage potential is present at terminal 7 and remote tripping can be carried out

G 3 5 3 3 DEG 3 5 3 3 EN

kann, daß aber bei AUS-Stellung des Schutzschaltgeräts die Anschlußklemme 7 durch den Hilfsschalter 9 spannungsfrei geschaltet ist.can, but that when the protective switching device is in the OFF position, the connecting terminal 7 is de-energized by the auxiliary switch 9.

The additional auxiliary contact 11 in the auxiliary switch housing 10 is advantageously used to signal the switching position of the switching device.

If there is sufficient space in the housing of the protective switching device, an additional auxiliary switch housing can of course be dispensed with and the auxiliary contact 9 and the two connection terminals 6 and 7 for remote tripping can be provided in this housing.

Such a protective switching device with remote triggering and switching status reporting is well suited for use in building system technology.
