BeschreibungDescription
The invention relates to a vertically perforated brick with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.
In a known vertically perforated brick of this type (DE-OS 35 41 280), a recess is provided on one or both front faces that runs the entire height of the brick and forms a mortar pocket. A grip recess protrudes from the bottom of this mortar pocket, which allows four fingers of one hand to be used and therefore makes it easier to lift and move the vertically perforated brick, whereby the brick can be placed close to the brick that has already been moved due to the freedom of fingers provided by the mortar pocket.
Die Stirnflächenabschnitte liegen dabei in einer Ebene und die Rippen der Profilierung springen von den Stirnflächenabschnitten vor, während die Rillen durch davonIn the known vertically perforated brick, a profile (interlocking) in the form of ribs or grooves is formed on the front surface sections on both sides of the mortar pocket or the handle recess, which interlock in the masonry bond so that mortaring of the butt joints is not necessary. The front surface sections lie in one plane and the ribs of the profile protrude from the front surface sections, while the grooves are formed by
The profiling of the opposite end face of the vertically perforated brick is designed to be complementary, so that the end faces of adjacent vertically perforated bricks can lie against one another in the masonry bond and the profiling of both end faces interlock with one another.
In order to be effective, the ribs or grooves of the profile must have a certain minimum size, which means that only a relatively small number of ribs or grooves, e.g. only one or two, can be formed on each of the front surface sections on both sides of the mortar pocket or the handle recess. This means that with the known vertically perforated brick, the rib - for example only one - protruding from one front surface section is relatively exposed and can easily be damaged during handling and transport. In addition, the vertically perforated brick is difficult to place on this front side because the ribs protruding from the front surface sections or the grooves retracting from them mean that it can only stand at an angle and tends to tip over.
A similar design of a vertically perforated brick, which is however not manufactured using the extrusion process, is shown in the German patent application B 356 V/37b.
35The object of the invention is therefore to design a vertically perforated brick of the type described at the outset in such a way that, despite the existing mortar pocket and the handle recess, it can have an effective profiling which is less susceptible to damage and also allows the vertically perforated brick to be placed or set up on its front side.
35
According to the invention, this is achieved by the solution according to the characterizing part of claim 1.
Because the grooves of the front profile of the perforated brick are not formed by grooves protruding from the side front face sections, but by ribs or pairs of ribs that also protrude from these front face sections, with the front edges of these ribs lying in a common plane, they are better protected and allow the brick to be set up or placed correctly. The front edges lie in a plane parallel to the plane of the front face sections; the mortar pocket and its base form a third plane that also runs parallel to the two aforementioned planes.
There are various options for the arrangement of ribs on the front surface sections, which are specified in detail in the subclaims. In principle, an arrangement symmetrical to the longitudinal center plane of the (cuboid-shaped) perforated brick is possible, but an asymmetrical arrangement is preferred. In this case, an arrangement of one of the ribs on the brick corner is possible in such a way that this rib with its outer flank forms a continuation of the broad side of the perforated brick.
In den Zeichnungen zeigen:Embodiments of the invention emerge from the following description based on the accompanying drawings and from further subclaims. In the drawings:

Fig. 4 is an abbreviated representation of a vertically perforated brick according to the invention, in which one rib is provided on each end face section and symmetrically to the longitudinal center plane of the vertically perforated brick.
The vertically perforated brick according to the invention shown in Fig. 1 in plan view is preferably manufactured using the extrusion process and has a perforation formed by a large number of webs running vertically or at an angle to one another (Fig. 4). The casing web of the brick forms broad sides 1, 2 and end faces 3, 4. Only in the end face 4 is a mortar pocket 5 formed that extends over the height of the brick, which runs centrally in the end face 4 and symmetrically to the longitudinal center plane M of the brick. A handle recess (not shown in detail) is provided on both end faces 3, 4, one of which protrudes directly from the end face 3, the other from the bottom of the mortar pocket 5. As highlighted by the dashed line in Fig. 1, the webs immediately surrounding the handle recess are noticeably thicker in comparison to the remaining webs forming the perforation. This compensates for the loss of strength caused by the handle recess in the casing web.
On both sides of the mortar pocket 5 are the end face sections of the end face 4, designated 4a and 4b, from which a profile (toothing) in the form of ribs 8 protrudes. In the embodiment according to Fig. 1, only one rib 8 is provided on the end face section 4a, approximately in the middle of it, while the end face section 4b carries a pair of ribs 8, 8', which form a groove 9 between them.
On the front face 3, which has no mortar pocket, the ribs 8 are arranged complementarily to those on the front face 4, but are otherwise designed in the same way. In the masonry bond, the individual rib 8 on the front face 3 of an adjacent brick therefore engages in the groove 9 between the pair of ribs on the front face section 4b, while the pair of ribs on the front face 3 engages around the individual rib on the front face section 4a.
The ribs 8 essentially have a trapezoidal cross-sectional shape, with their outer edges or surfaces lying in a plane parallel to the end faces 3 or the end face sections 4a, 4b. The outer rib 8' of the pair of ribs provided on the end faces 3 or 4 is asymmetrically trapezoidal in cross-section and forms with its outer flank 10 a continuation of the brick broad side 1 or 2. The other rib of this pair of ribs on the end face section 4b sits directly on the edge of the mortar pocket 5 and forms with its inner flank a smooth continuation of the flank of the mortar pocket 5.
The embodiment according to Fig. 2 differs from that according to Fig. 1 in that on the front surface section 4b 1 there is not a pair of ribs, but only one edge rib 8'', while the rib 8 on the front surface section 4a 1 is offset more towards the longitudinal center plane M. In this case, the space between the two ribs 8 and 8'' forms a wide groove in which the individual rib 8 of the adjacent brick comes to lie, whereby the position of the ribs 8 and 8*' is chosen so that their flanks lie close to one another in the masonry bond or touch one another.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 3, the rib arrangement is also asymmetrical with respect to the longitudinal center plane M. However, a pair of ribs is provided on each end face section 4a' 1 and 4b 1 ', whereby the inner rib of the pair of ribs on the end face section 4a'' in turn forms a continuation of the flank of the mortar pocket 5, while the outer rib of the pair of ribs on the end face section 4b' 1 with its flank forms a continuation of the broad side 1 of the brick. Here, too, a mortar pocket 5 is only provided on one end face (end face 4); the four ribs on the end face 3 are in turn arranged in such a way that they interlock in the masonry bond with the ribs of the opposite end face of an adjacent brick.
In the embodiment according to Fig. 4, the end faces 3' and 4' have a rib arrangement that is symmetrical to the longitudinal center plane M. The end face 3' has two pairs of ribs on either side of the handle recess (not shown), while the end face 4', which has a mortar pocket 5, has two individual ribs.
