Description Transport device for central heating boilers

Central heating boilers must be transported to the boiler room on site. Only in very few cases is it possible to transport them at ground level, which can be done using vehicles if necessary. In most cases, the boilers must be brought to their installation location in the basement.

This is very time-consuming and difficult, especially in narrow cellar entrances. The relatively high weight of the boilers also plays a special role. A great deal of effort is required for both transporting them on level ground and for transporting them up and down stairs.

A transport device is to be created with which a central heating boiler can be transported with little effort. This should be especially suitable for bringing the boiler into the boiler room and for transporting it through narrow cellar exits.

The new transport device is characterized by a transport bracket to be attached to the central heating boiler with a roller axle arranged at the lower end.

The heating boiler is initially delivered from the warehouse to the construction site in the usual way in single-use or reusable packaging. Here, the packaging and any associated transport frame are removed. Instead of carrying the boiler to the installation site, which can only be done with great physical effort by several fitters, the fitter attaches the transport bracket to the boiler, preferably to the rear wall of the boiler. The transport device according to the innovation uses the principle of a sack barrow. However, it is not an actual sack barrow, which would have to be pushed under the boiler with its support surface and on which the boiler would only sit loosely. A lot of effort would have to be put into transporting it. By mounting the transport bracket directly on the boiler, however, you get a unit consisting of the boiler and transport device, which allows transport with the least possible effort.

You could attach the roller axle firmly to the transport bracket and screw the entire part to the boiler. There could also be two parts.

First, the transport bracket would be attached to the boiler. The roller axle is then locked into place at the lower end of the transport bracket. It is advisable to attach it at different heights to take into account the different heights of the transport pallets that are pushed underneath.

By tilting it slightly, the boiler is lifted and moved to the desired location.

A transport bracket 2 is screwed to a heating boiler 1, for example using wing nuts. A roller axle 3 is located at the lower end of the transport bracket 2. This can be attached to the transport bracket 2 at different heights depending on the height of the pallet k under the heating boiler 1. The boiler is lifted at the front by tilting it slightly. It can now be moved at ground level and also step by step over boiler exits. Any carrying work is avoided.
