Die Neuerung betrifft eine Waschmaschine oder dergleichen nach dem Oberbegriff des Schutzanspruchs 1.The innovation relates to a washing machine or the like according to the generic term of claim 1.

Waschmaschinen der in Rede stehenden Art sind allgemein bekannt. Bei solchen Waschmaschinen ist die eine dichtende Verbindung zwischen den federnd im Gehäuse gehalterten Laugenbehälter und der eine Einfüllöffnung aufweisenden Vorderwand des Gehäuses herstellende Gummi-Manschette (Faltenbalg) mit Entleerungsöffnungen versehen, die mit dem Laugenbehälter in Verbindung stehen. Dadurch kann in die Manschette bzw. in den Faltenbalg gelangende Flüssigkeit in den Laugenbehälter zurückfließen. Im unteren Abschnitt des rohrförmigen Zwischenstückes der Manschette bzw. des Faltenbalges verbleibt nach Beendigung des Waschprozesses aber oftmals Restwasser. Da sich dieses dort ansammelnde Restwasser im Gesichtsbereich des Waschmaschinen-Benutzers befindet, wird es von vielen Benutzern als störend angesehen.Washing machines of the type in question are well known. In Fig. 1 ist mit 1 eine angedeutete Wäschetrommel bezeichnet, die in einem Laugenbehälter 2 einer stirnseitig beschickbaren Waschmaschine umlaufend untergebrcht ist. Über eine elastische Manschette 6 bzw. einen Faltenbalg ist im Bereich der Beschickungsöffnung 4 eine dichte Verbindung zwischen dem Laugenbehälter 2 und dem Gehäuse 3 hergestellt. Die aus Gummi oder dergl. bestehende Manschette 6 weist für die Befestigung bzw. Halterung einen ersten Befestigungswulst 7 auf, der mit der Vorderwand 3¹ des Gehäuses verbunden ist. Der ersten Befestigungswulst 7 gegenüberliegend hat die Manschette eine zweite Befestigungswulst 8, die mit dem Beschickungs-Öffnungsrand 2' des Laugenbehälters 2 gekoppelt ist. In dieser Befestigungswulst ist zur Entwässerung der faltenbalgartigen Manschette 6 eine mit dem Laugenbehälter 2 in Verbindung stehende Entleerungsöffnung 9 vorgesehen.
