Description
Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Eigenschaften von Po-lyacrylnitril und Mischpolymerisaten von Acrylnitril mit anderen Vinylverbindungen Polymerisate und Mischpolymerisate von Acrylnitril sind 'bekannt und finden in der Technik eine vielseitige Anwendung. Es wurde gefunden, daß sich Polyacrylnitril und Mischpolymerisate des Acrylnitrils mit anderen Vinylverbindungen in ihren Eigenschaften durch Behandlung mit Borhalogeniden, insbesondere mit Borfluorid, verbessern lassen. Die Einwirkung !kann auf beliebige Weise, z. B. in Lösung oder .in Dampf- bzw. Gasform, erfolgen. Man arbeitet zweckmäßig so, da,ß man z. B. gasförmiges Borfluorid auf Polymerisate von Acrylnitril oder von Acrylnitril mit anderen Vinylverbindungen einwirken läßt, indem man die Polymerisate in einem geschlossenen Behälter mit Borfluorid :begast.
