connected to the receiver, at the same time for receiving. perpendicularly polarized.
Use waves with a long wavelength compared to the antenna dimensions. Here
affects the normally earthed mast on which the VHF antenna is attached
is the reception of the long waves through its shielding effect. the
The effective antenna height of the VHF antenna is therefore low for long-wave reception.
The use of poles made of insulating material is different because of the low strength
because of the high costs. mostly off.
Sie besteht dann a;us zwei vorzugsweise rohrförmigen Masten, deren gegenseitiger
Doppelleitung gleichen Wellenwiderstandes verbunden

It then consists of two preferably tubular masts, the mutual spacing of which is chosen so that the wave resistance of the double line, which is required for reasons of adaptation, is achieved. The upper ends of the double mast carry the VHF antenna in a direct conductive connection, while the lower ends. i @ so, liert are held and with a usual. Double line with the same characteristic impedance are connected, which leads to the receiver. If structurally necessary; the mutual distance between the two: masts can be determined by several insulators distributed over the length. In the above-mentioned version, the entire mast-shaped double line then acts like a correspondingly large rod antenna for long-wave reception. In a special embodiment of the invention, the double mast is designed as an A / 4 transformation piece for the purpose of adapting the base point resistance of the VHF antenna to the resistance of the symmetrical double line. The masts then have a length of 1/4, s / 4 or 5/4 of the ultrashort wavelength. If desired, the transformation piece can also be formed by reducing the diameter of the individual masts to a distance of 1/4 of the ultrashort wavelength or by changing the mast spacing over this distance. Fig ,. i shows an example of an embodiment in which a loop dipole i is used as the VHF antenna, the tubes of which form the double mast z as a direct continuation. In this iso si.'nd, lierstege 3 to preserve the mutual Ab, introduced article. Since the wind pressure load on a dipole antenna is mainly from; the broadside acts, but a double mast counteracts the greatest rigidity; Forces impinging on its narrow sides are the plane in which the dipole lies opposite: the plane in which the double head lies rotated by 90 °.
