Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
The common type of facing brick shells with facing bricks is done with Y 4 and 1 J 2 bricks. This process requires a great deal of expensive veneering material in relation to the area to be veneered. To this is still to be Spanking That the whole binder courses, unless special 3/4 rear bricking bricks are available.
In order to eliminate these inconveniences, according to the present invention, every third Layer of the back walling inserted between the latter facing panels, whereby the connection of the facing brick through Nut and spring is effected.
Fig. ι die Verblendung in Ansicht,
Fig. 2 im Schnitt nach A-B der Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 im Schnitt nach C-D,
Fig. 4 im Querschnitt nach E-F und
Fig. 5 im Grundrifs nach A-B, C-D.
dienen.A brick shell facing executed according to such an inventive concept is illustrated in the accompanying drawing by FIGS. 1 to 5; it shows
Fig. Ι the facing in view,
Fig. 2 in section according to AB of Fig. 1,
Fig. 3 in section along CD,
Fig. 4 in cross section according to EF and
Fig. 5 in plan according to AB, CD.
The facing bricks ν are provided with rabbets and grooves and are inserted into the binder layer of the back wall leaving certain gaps. The interstices are filled by facing plates iv , which consist of a narrower part χ and a wider part y , and are two layers of masonry in height, so that the plate n> covers part of the binder course and part of the running layer of the back masonry . Each plate w has also been given folds and grooves on its sides, the folds and grooves of part χ corresponding to the grooves and folds of the facing bricks ν , while the folds and grooves of part y serve to connect with parts y of other panels w.
As can be seen from the above-mentioned arrangement, the advantage of this brick shell facing is based on a saving in facing material, as well as in a light construction of the facing. This embodiment is also suitable for subsequently veneering buildings, since the small holes for the binder facing bricks can be chiseled into the masonry with ease. Ornaments can also be pressed into the plates, as indicated by \ (Fig. 1).
