Fahrzeugschlüssel mit darin integrierten Datenspeichern für fahrzeugspezifische Daten und/oder frei wählbare Codeworte sind bekannt. Die Datenübertragung zum Fahrzeug erfolgt überwiegend mit Infrarotlicht. Solche relativ teuren Einrichtungen werden für Diebstahlwarn- bzw. -Sicherungsanlagen verwendet. Die darin verwendeten fahrzeugspezifischen Daten können auch für fahrzeugbezogene oder werkstättenbezogene Diagnosezwecke verwendet werden.Vehicle keys with integrated data storage for vehicle-specific data and/or freely selectable code words are known. Es ist jedoch schwierig, in ein und denselben Schlüssel ein Induktiv- und ein Infrarotsystem gleichzeitig einzubauen, da an einem Ende des Schlüssels der Schlüsselbart und die Infrarot-Sendediode und am anderen Ende ein Schlüsselring zur Befestigung weiterer Schlüssel angeordnet sind.
