Verfahren zur Veredelung von Ruß Es gibt verschiedene Qualitäten von Ruß, welche für die weitere Verarbeitung zu hochwertigen Farben nicht geeignet sind. Ziel der Erfindung ist es, ein Verfahren zu zeigen, welches es ermöglicht, Ruß, insbesondere Gasruß, der in diesem Sinne als minderwertig zu bezeichnen ist, so zu veredeln, daß er den besten auf dem Markt befindlichen Qualitäten für Ruß für die genannten Zwecke gleichkommt.Process for upgrading carbon black There are different qualities of Soot, which is not suitable for further processing into high-quality paints. Grundsätzlich besteht das neue Verfahren darin, daß der Ruß mit Phenolen oder deren Derivaten behandelt wird, wobei auch Mischungen von Phenolen zur Anwendung kommen können, und ebenso ist es möglich, die Phenole so, wie sie anfallen, zu verwenden, also z. B. in Form von Goudron. Insbesondere sind die Dioxybenzole geeignet und da vor allem das Brenzkatechin. Es werden damit sogar bessere Ruße erzielt, als bisher überhaupt bekannt waren. Insbesondere das Fließvermögen wird erhöht, und die mit diesem Ruß dann hergestellte Farbe wird glänzender und tiefer, insbesondere auch ausgiebiger. Die Einwirkung kann auf verschiedene Weise erfolgen, am einfachsten und ungefährlichsten ist es, in wäßriger Suspension zu arbeiten. Beispielsreise werden 5o g E-Ruß mit etwa 5o ccm Spiritus in 21 heißem Wasser suspendiert. Um eine genügend feine Verteilung zu erreichen, wird die Mischung zweimal durch eine Trichtermühle geschickt. Dann werden 7 g Brenzkatechin, in wenig Wasser gelöst, hinzugefügt. Nachdem die Mischung 2 Tage bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur gestanden hatte, wird abgesaugt und im Trockenschrank bei roo° getrocknet. Das so erhaltene Produkt hat die gewünschten Eigenschaften, und die damit hergestellte Farbe ist außerdem im Hinblick auf den ölbedarf ausgiebiger als die bekannten besten Qualitäten.Basically, the new process consists in that the carbon black with phenols or their derivatives is treated, mixtures of phenols also being used can come, and it is also possible to use the phenols as they arise, so z.
