The invention relates to a chair with a seat plate and a backrest with a backrest which are attached to a stool frame with two front legs and one back leg.

Such three-legged chairs are well known. They are usually stackable or collapsible, but are only used for sitting.

On the other hand, standing aids are known that also have a frame with three legs and a seat at buttock height for support.

The object of the invention is to create a chair of the type mentioned at the beginning, which can be used both for sitting and as a standing aid and can be easily converted from one type of use to the other.

This object is achieved according to the invention in that the seat plate is mounted with the front side on the front legs in a rotatable and lockable manner, that the backrest designed as an additional standing aid is pivotally mounted with the backrest support on the rear leg, which is attached in the middle area of the axis of rotation of the seat plate, and that the backrest support is adjustably guided along the seat plate with a support pin and can be folded down onto the rear leg by the centrally divided seat plate.

If the backrest support is folded back with the backrest, then the chair can be used for sitting. However, if the backrest is folded down with the backrest through the split seat plate onto the rear leg that is angled backwards, then the chair can be used as a standing aid from the same side, with the backrest providing support for the buttocks.

The adjustment of the backrest support on the seat plate is solved in such a way that the support pin protrudes on both sides of the backrest support and is guided with its ends in adjustable slots in the seat plate, which are arranged in vertically bevelled edges on the underside of the divided seat plate.

The design of the backrest is such that it provides a Backrest and seat part, which form an acute angle

to each other and that the backrest part is attached to the backrest support.

The invention will be explained in more detail using an embodiment shown in the drawings. It shows:

A backrest 3 which can be folded from back to front and which is shaped into a seat in the upper area creates, in addition to the sitting position at chair height (Fig. 1), a second, high sitting position which serves as a standing aid (Fig. Z) .

In Fig. 1, 2 and 3 the centrally divided seat plate 1 can be seen, which is mounted on the support pin 2 of the backrest

3 and can rotate at the front about the front legs 6 which are bent over to form an axis in the upper area. The support pin 2 is guided under the seat 1 in such a way that it can slide forwards during the folding movement of the backrest 3.

For this purpose, the support pin 2 is firmly connected to the back support

4, which is pivotably mounted in the joint 5 on the rear leg 7 from back to front, right through the split seat plate 1. The backrest support 4 accommodates the combined backrest 3, which is designed as a backrest and seat.

When the backrest 3 is folded forward, the support 2 moves in the direction of the pivot point of the seat plate 1 and thus enables the seat plate 1 to be swiveled onto the rear leg 7 in a space-saving manner (Fig. 2).

The two mirror-image front legs 6 can be folded parallel to the rear leg 7 for transport after releasing a suitable lock.

In Fig. 4 it can be seen that the cylinder 8 firmly connects the two front legs 6 to one another and forms an axis in the middle for the hind leg 7. The hind leg 7 is shaped in the upper area in such a way that it accommodates the cylinder 8 and can rotate around it.

The locking of the front legs 6 and the rear leg 7 at the desired angle to each other is preferably achieved by a manually releasable locking pin 10.
