The invention relates to a room element comprising a clock, at least one decorative element and elements for triggering and generating acoustic and/or optical effects, whereby the clock gives impulses at adjustable, preselected times to those elements and/or transmission elements such as electronic control elements, mechanical drive elements and/or ultrasonic generating components that correspond to corresponding active elements of the decorative element, so that different optical and/or acoustic effects can be triggered and generated.

Known clock elements consist of a clock body of various designs, with an electric or mechanical clockwork with an analogue or digital time display, which produce acoustic signals (audio frequency reverberation source) and optical effects at certain intervals through the appearance or movement of figures. The spatial design is varied and can be based on criteria such as practicality, playfulness or artistic aspects. Acoustic effects include, for example, the sound of a bell, a gong, a humming sound, melodic sequences of tones or voices, e.g. a bird's voice in cuckoo clocks or synthetic human sounds for telling the time. Human or animal replicas are predominant as figures.

A disadvantage of the room elements used so far is that their design and effects are fixed. The clock body, time display and effects of the room elements are structurally an unchangeable unit that is determined by the producer. They do not offer any subsequent opportunity for creative and individual changes to the design and effects. The possibilities for influence are limited to switching on and off, loud and quiet operations. The desire

for an individual room element with a clock and decorative elements can only be realized through complex DIY construction and the implementation is reserved only for technically skilled people.

The invention is based on the object of eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages of certain room elements and of creating a room element with a clock and decorative elements, with which the desire for individuality and personal design can be fulfilled in a simple manner.

According to the invention ^, the problem is solved by

- that the spatial element comprises a base support body on which the clock and a chamber for receiving optical decorative elements are variably arranged, a base body for receiving the elements and spacers or connectors such as spokes,

- that the spokes connect the base body with the base support body,

- that a spoke connects the base body with the chamber and

- that variable and detachable retaining elements for attaching a decorative body are arranged on the spokes.

A flat space element offers almost unlimited possibilities for creative and individual design. The basic elements can be mass-produced and therefore inexpensively. Thanks to the simple variations in the design and effects, even technical laypeople or children can add their own personal touch to the design and effect. Every fan of a sport, a professional group or a hobby can imprint optical and acoustic features on this inventive clock that correspond to their inclination.

Familiar motifs enable personal, intimate expression. This also means that a watch is no longer just a functional instrument, an aesthetic object or a work of art, but also conveys fun and personality.

Thus, in an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the chamber can have a flap on its front side. A carriage can be arranged in the chamber, which is moved forwards and backwards by means of a ^rotary actuator , thereby opening or closing the flap, while the optical decorative element can be arranged on the carriage. The base support body represents, for example, a ring, the optical decorative element a car, and the design body can be a hubcap. This creates a highly variable spatial element for motor fans.

The spatial element according to the invention consists essentially of a base support body 2, a base body 4, spokes 5, a chamber 7, the clock 3 and a decorative body 8. In the exemplary embodiment, the base support body 2 represents a ring. The base support body 2 is connected to the base body 4 via spacers or connectors such as spokes 5, which is located in the center of the base support body 2. One of the spokes 5 is arranged between the base body 4 and the chamber 7 and serves to accommodate an electrical or mechanical power transmission element 13. When the slide 11 with the decorative element 9 is moved out after a certain signal or impulse, a flap 10 arranged on the front side of the chamber 7 is opened.

The clock 3 is arranged at any location on the base support body 2 via an adhesive system 14 that can be removed from the state of the art, e.g. a clamp connection, and is detachably connected to the base body 4 via one of the transmission elements already mentioned.

Holding elements 6 are arranged on the spokes 5 in freely selectable positions, to which the decorative body 8 can be attached. In the exemplary embodiment, the holding elements 6 are designed as telescopic pins and the decorative body 8 represents a hubcap. Of course, many other embodiments are conceivable here.

Via the effect triggering unit, which runs synchronously with the clock 3 and is arranged in the base body 4, an impulse is sent to the magnetic tape and to the drive element at certain preselected time intervals, which then sets the magnetic tape and the carriage 11 in operation via the power transmission element 13 and screw gear 12 and thereby triggers the desired effects, here e.g. as an acoustic effect engine noise and car horn signals, and as an optical effect the appearance of a car model matching the hubcap.
