Die Erfüllung dieser Forderung bereitet insbesondere bei hohen Schnittgeschwindigkeiten und Schnittkräften Probleme, da in diesen Fällen aufgrund thermischer Einflüsse unerwünschte Veränderungen der Wälzlager und deren Umgebung nicht ausgeschlossen werden können. Um derartige Veränderungen in Grenzen zu halten, muß für einen guten Wärmeabfluß aus dem Lagerbereich Sorge getragen werden. Dieser Zielsetzung Rechnung tragend, liegt der Erfindung die Aufgabe zugrunde, bei einer gattungsgemäßen Lagerung einen einfachen Weg zur Luftkühlung des Wälzlagers aufzuzeigen. Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch gelöst, daß zwischen dem Luftaustrittsspalt und dem Wälzlager mindestens ein weiterer Ringspalt vorgesehen ist, daß von der dem weiteren Ringspalt abgewandten Seite des Wälzlagers aus der Sperrluftquelle stammende Kühlluft durch das Wälzlager zu einem Kühlluftauslaß führbar ist und daß der weitere Ringspalt eine, einer Vermischung von Sperrluft-und KUüluftstrom entgegenwirkende Barriere bildet. from 1 to 10,000 revolutions per minute and more, ensure a high degree of machining accuracy.
