Rectifier for automatic charging of collectors during charging
From collectors it is expedient, after the beginning of the gassing of the cells, the charge
still to continue for a certain adjustable time. With automatic charging devices
one has for this purpose at the beginning of the gassing, where the tension of the collector is
greatly increased, let a voltage relay trigger a clockwork, which after a
adjustable time interrupts the charging current. It has already been suggested
to use an electric synchronous clock as a clockwork for this purpose. this has
i.a. the advantage that in the absence of the supply voltage, where a mechanical clockwork
The electric clockwork would continue to run during the time during which the voltage
missing, stands. The invention relates to a further embodiment of this arrangement,
which is characterized by its particular ease of use. she consists
in the fact that a rotatable trigger sits on the shaft of the synchronous clock, through the
at the beginning of the charging process, the rectifier is switched on by hand and on the
desired reload time is set. This trigger is used at the same time.
to take the device out of operation by hand. The entire operation of the charger
consists in setting this trigger; further manipulations are not required.
Schaltung
aus einem, Drehstromnetz RST gespeist wird. Sowohl auf der Primärseite als auch
auf der Sekundärseite des Umspanners befindet sich ein Schütz i i bzw. 5.
i i liegt.
In Fig. R of the drawing, the invention is shown using an example.
It is a mechanical rectifier, which is in three-phase
circuit
is fed from a three-phase network RST. Both on the primary side and
A contactor i i or 5 is located on the secondary side of the transformer
has four contacts, three of which are bridged by starting resistors that are not marked
are. By switching chokes i, 2, 3, the contacts of the contact device 4 of
Switching fire relieved. The secondary contactor is actuated by a coil 5. In a circle
this coil, which is fed by the voltage of the rectifier, is located
Reverse current release 6. This has two windings, one of which is connected to the voltage
of the collector lies, the other is traversed by the charging current. Both windings
are connected in such a way that they add up in the case of reverse current and open 6, whereby
the rectifier goes out of operation. There is still a contact in the circle of the coil
7, which is actuated by the trigger 8 of the electrical synchronous clock 9. Of the
Release 8 also actuates a contact io ,, which is in the circuit of the coil of the primary contactor
i i lies. The clock 9 is fed by the alternating voltage VW. She only works
when the voltage relay 12, which is connected to the collector voltage, is sufficiently high
is excited, for example at a collector voltage of more than a.4 V per cell.
In the circuit of the coil of the contactor 5 there is a resistor 13. This is balanced so that
that although he can keep the contactor 5 switched on, it cannot get it. For this
it is bridged by switch 14. The switch 14 is through a second
electric clock 15 is operated, which is continuously in. during the entire charging process
Is in operation and briefly closes the switch once every minute. The trigger
8 is moved clockwise by the clock 9 so that it first makes contact
7 and only later does the contact open. This is necessary to prevent
that when it is switched off, a switching light at 4 arises. The trigger 8 carries an adjustment button,
which protrudes from the front panel of the device. In Fig. 2 it is indicated how
this setting button on the front panel is provided with a scale. The black one
marked sector of the scale circumference indicates the area in which the trigger 8 the
Contacts 7 and io opens. Whenever the pointer of the release button is on this black
Area, the device is completely switched off, since both 5 and i i
are de-energized.
Will man das Gerät in Betrieb setzen,
B. 2,4 V pro Zelle, so schließt
Before the device is started up, the pointer is in Fig.
2, initially on the dashed sector. The electric clock 9 has one
Translation that the pointer in Fig. 2, which is connected to the trigger 8,
turns around once in about 6 1/2 hours. If you want to put the device into operation,
so you have the adjustment knob in Fig. 2, so far in the sense: to turn the clockwise,
until the pointer leaves the sector marked with a dashed line. The consequence is that both
io and 7 are closed. The primary contactor i i switches due to the excitation
the coil on; this creates a rectifier via the starting resistors
Generated DC voltage, which sends a current through the coil of the contactor 5.
However, the secondary contactor switches on at the moment when the clock i9, the
Contact 14 closes. At this moment the charging current begins to flow. Achieved
the voltage of the collector the specified value, e.g. B. 2.4 V per cell, it closes
relay 12 turns on and clock 9 starts running. The trigger moves
8 and the pointer in -Fig. 2 clockwise. If you have this pointer at the beginning of the
Charge is set to the number 4, for example, then 4 hours are required,
until the trigger 8 opens the contacts 7 and io. If one sets the pointer in Fig. 2
on the number 6, 6 hours are required. This way you can go from
Set the start of gassing at any recharging time between 0 and 6 hours.
If you want to abort the loading process prematurely, turn the pointer in Fig. 2
by hand in a clockwise direction except for the sector marked with a dashed line. The resistance
13, the switch 14 and the clock 15 have the purpose of preventing malfunctions
the device switches on again too quickly in succession. You can z. B. the clock 15
provided with such an intermediate gear that it turns around once in ten minutes.
In order to avoid ro minutes to the beginning when starting up the device
To have to wait for the charging process, you can manually switch the resistor 13 through a
Bridge push button 16.
Kontaktumformern) anwendbar. As you can see, the device described is characterized by extraordinary
Simplicity of operation, although it does all the tasks of a fully automatic charger
Fulfills. It is essential for all rectifiers (valve converters, dry rectifiers,
Contact converters).
