Der Gxleichrichter ist mit selbsttätigen Regeleinrichtungen ausgerüstet, damit die von ihm abgegebene Spannung bzw. der den Lichtbogen speisendeStrom geändert- werden kann, wenn sich während des Betriebes die Betriebsgrößen des Lichtbogens ändern. Man hat versucht, in der von der Gleichrichtertechnik her üblichen Weise zwischen den Gleichrichter und den Lichtbogen Hilfskreise zu schalten, die aus Induktivitäten und Kapazitäten bestehen und dafür sorgen sollen, daß etwa in der Gleichspannung des Gleichrichters enthaltene Oberwellen an dem zu speisenden Lichtbogen nicht mehr in Erscheinung treten.
