Eine seit einigen Jahrzehnten populär gewordene Variante der Jahrtausende alten Methode, Wein in Schläuchen aufzubewahren und zu transportieren ist das sogenannte "bag in box" - System. Gemäß diesem System wird der Wein in einen mit einem Zapfhahn versehenen Schlauch gefüllt ixnd dieser ohne weiteres Umfüllen, üblicherweise in einen Karton verpackt, an den Verbraucher verschickt.
