In the case of the known seating furniture, it has already been proposed, in accordance with a trend in the furniture industry, to create a free space beneath the seat cushions or beneath the unorganized carriages in the seating arrangement, so that the seating furniture makes an overall light structural impression compared to such seating furniture ₁ which appear very solid when viewed from the front, since they have panels on the front that extend down to the floor.

On the one hand, this handling is relatively uncomfortable and on the other hand, there is a risk that the user forgets to swing out the support, which can lead to damage to the seat when the outer carriage is loaded.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the task of creating a seating furniture of this type which is easier to use and in which damage caused by the user is largely avoided.

It is particularly preferred that each guide roller has an elongated hole directed towards the guide rails and parallel to the support plane of the carriages and that the respective guide rollers are arranged in an unordered manner in the elongated hole.

Furthermore, it is particularly preferred that the guide parts are arranged in front of the muzzle ends of the guide rails, whereby their distance from the mouth end is smaller than the length of the parts of the inner carriage inserted into the guide rails - in each case viewed in the longitudinal direction of the guide rails.

The guide parts, which are designed in particular as guide rollers, provide additional guidance on the side of the frame of the inner carriage, which prevents the frames from tilting when the carriages are pushed together. Because the guide parts, in particular guide rollers, are attached in the slot, for example by means of a screw nut connection, it is possible to adjust the guide width, so that manufacturing tolerances can be easily compensated.

This is particularly advantageous for assembly in upholstery furniture production. After assembly, the guide roller or similar inserted into the slot with the appropriate fastening means can resume its stop function to prevent the outer carriage from being pulled out too far in relation to the inner carriage.

It is further preferred that the guide parts are mounted on the lugs or on parts of the carriage so as to be pivotable about a horizontal pivot axis running transversely to the carriage, exposing the mouth of the guide rails.

The seating furniture has a frame 1 with side walls 2, which also form armrests, and a rear wall 3. The support part 15 connecting the angle levers 14 is a panel-like plate, which can also be covered with the upholstery fabric of the furniture, for example. As a travel limit stop for the pivoted-out position of the angle lever 14, a stop part 22 is attached to the angle lever 14, which in the pivoted-out position rests on the underside of the outer carriage 5, in particular on the underside of the rail 17. The pivot position is thus defined beyond the dead center. The stop part 22 can simultaneously serve as a fixed point for the pre-tensionable actuating part 16 in the form of the helical tension spring.

A preferred further development is shown in Figure 2. At the free end of the outer carriage 5, which faces the inner carriage 4 when the carriages 4, 5 are extended, a guide part 23 is held on both sides of the outer carriage 5, of which only the part located on one side of the carriage 5 is shown in the drawing. In the operating position shown in Figure 1, this guide part 23 is supported on the longitudinal edges of the inner carriage 4, in particular on its frame.

The guide parts 23 are formed by guide rollers 24, the axis of which runs vertically and is formed by a threaded bolt. The lugs 25 protrude beyond these guide rails 17 in their longitudinal direction, so to speak, towards the inner carriage 4. The lugs 25 each have an elongated hole 26 directed transversely to the guide rails 17 and parallel to the support plane of the carriages 4, 5, whereby the guide roller 24 with the threaded bolt forming its axis is inserted into the elongated hole and is arranged so that it can be moved and locked by means of a counter-screwed nut. In this way, manufacturing tolerances can be compensated by moving and locking the guide roller 24 in order to adjust the guide width exactly to the width of the inner carriage 4.
