Description
BeschreibungDescription
The invention relates to a loudspeaker housing for the production of single-way or multi-way loudspeakers for music or the like.
Loudspeaker enclosures have been around since the invention of the loudspeaker. They are usually made of sheet materials such as chipboard, plywood, stone or similar, which are cut and joined together to form a box. The openings for the speakers and all other holes must be cut out of the solid material. Internal stiffeners must be manufactured separately and later glued into the enclosure.
Kritikcriticism
A disadvantage of the loudspeaker enclosures that have been used so far is that acoustic optimization of the enclosures is only possible with additional production and therefore financial expenditure. The parallel side winds that arise when manufacturing according to the box principle would have to be angled, the inner edges would have to be rounded and internal reinforcements would have to be provided, all of which would lead to an increase in the price of the enclosures. Due to the usual use of sheet material, all holes and openings have to be cut out of the solid material. In addition, the shape is very limited, which means that all loudspeaker enclosures are very similar. In addition, the materials used are heavy.
AufgabeTask
The invention is based on the object of eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages and of developing a loudspeaker housing that is easy to manufacture and has high sound-insulating properties while being lightweight.

Wiedergabereproduction
The loudspeaker housing, consisting of front panel (1) and base element (2) with internal reinforcements (CB), is made from a mixture of polyurethane integral hard foam and lead particles. The openings for the loudspeakers (8), pilot holes (8), holes (O) and recess (O) are included in the two-part molds. The bases (3) (4) (C5) can be made from polyurethane integral hard foam without lead inserts. The loudspeaker and front panel (1) (1) and base element (2), base element (2) and base (C4) (5) can each be screwed together using wood screws through the holes provided. Base element (2) can be filled with glass wool for additional sound insulation. The different bases offer different positioning options on flat surfaces or on walls and corners of the room.
VorteileAdvantages
A loudspeaker housing according to the invention can be manufactured economically in small quantities, since expensive tools and machines are not absolutely necessary. A two-part mold can be cast from the master model for each of the various individual parts. This can then be filled with the foam-lead mixture. Due to the foam's ability to expand in the tool, a machine that provides the necessary internal tool pressure is not required. This foaming technique means that all parts can be manufactured with the necessary openings, holes and recesses in one operation, which makes production considerably cheaper. The good soundproofing properties of the polyurethane integral rigid foam are further improved by its ability to become denser towards the surface. The closed surface of the foam also makes it possible to paint the raw individual parts in any color.
