Durch die englische Patentschrift Nr. 16393 v. J. 1889 ist eine. Glühlampe für flüssige Brennstoffe bekannt geworden, bei welcher die Vergasung des Brennstoffes durch eine beständig brennende Heizflamme bewirkt wird. Wird der in dieser Patentschrift angegebene Vergaser nach dem in der englischen Patentschrift Nr. 420 v.J. 1883 angegebenen Princip ausgebildet, wonach die Retorte des Vergasers durch die Abgase der Flamme beheizt wird, so wird eine Lampenform gewonnen, bei der an die Stelle der besonderen Heizflamme gleichsam die ganze Lampe tritt, deren Abgase demnach die Vergasung unterhalten. Dem Brennstoffbehälter giebt man dabei zweckmäfsig eine solche Form, dafs er, wie z. B. in der englischen Patentschrift Nr. 3484 v. J. 1878 angegeben ist, mit dem Reflector eins wird.By the English patent specification No. 16393 v. J. 1889 is one. Aus letzterem führen zwei Dochtrohre c c nach oben, welche über dem Cylinder d durch ein rund oder winklig gebogenes Rohr e vereinigt sind. Das Rohr e ist oberhalb mit der Aufhängeöse f und unterhalb mit dem Blaker g versehen. Aus diesem Rohr führen die zu beiden Seiten des Lampencylinders d in Bogenform angeordneten Gasleitungsrohre i i abwärts in den Lampenbrenner. Letzterer ist ein gewöhnlicher Gasglühlichtbrenner mit Gashahn k, Bunsenbrenner /, Brennerkopf m und Glühkörper n. Von nun an erzeugt sich die Lampe ihren Gasbedarf von selbst, indem die eben aus dem Cylinder d ausströmenden heifsen Verbrennungsproducte die Rohre c und e erhitzen, wodurch beständig Brennstoff verdampft und dem Brenner zugeführt wird. Beim Schliefsen des Hahnes k hört der Gaszuflufs auf, die Flamme erlischt langsam, die Rohre c und e kühlen sich ab, und die Vergasung ist beendet.In order to put this lamp into operation, one of the tubes cc is heated at one point by means of a lighting torch or the like.
